Having lived in many cities and states, I found the hidden gems of delicious fresh cooked food can often be found in gas stations. Taco Urbano proves my point 😋

Walked into Taco Urbano by the gas station downtown and was pleasantly surprised—this spot’s legit. Snagged two breakfast tacos (whole eggs, chorizo) and a Blue Cheese burger with fries—splurged about $22 before tip. Tacos were juicy, eggs cooked just right, and fries hit the spot. Staff were chill and friendly, atmosphere laid‑back. Will for sure be back for lunch next week.

Stopped by Taco Urbano on Wabash for a quick bite. The steak taco was solid, and the al pastor had a nice kick. Prices were fair—about $3 per taco. Service was quick, but seating's limited since it's inside a gas station. Not a bad spot if you're in the area and need a fast, tasty meal.​

Waited and waited and waited and got no food. My order was in but I never got food. Other customers came in made a new order and they somehow were making their food. When I asked I was told they were here before me. So I waited I asked again a few minutes later and said my food was being made now as she tried to show me the food but it was not my food. Then I decided to get a refund. They kept talking amongst themselves. I left with my refund.

The food was great and was seasoned really well so the flavor was ?. Lowkey a hidden gem. The prices were reasonable compared to other Mexican food places and the portions were good. However there was only 1 worker who took and prepared the orders, which slowed the process down as more people came in.
