They are never open. They have listing for poetry nights and how to register to attend. However upon arriving at the location, you aren't able to enter because the establishment is closed. They are false advertising events and they don't inform you they will not be open as well. Ive given then 3 chances which ended in the same result. Bad management and communication

Went to this place for an Black Spoken Word Event that I booked tickets for online 12-19-25 and my group arrived to the place and it was pitch black dark and closed. We were somewhat disappointed because that area is not some place you should be at night looking for a venue that wasn’t open. They didn’t send out a cancellation notice about the event or anything.

Love the food, the coffee drinks, the energy. I usually go for poetry. Everything else is the cherry on top.

I stopped by this location for a first time with a friend and the guy at the front was EXTREMELY rude to us. He didn’t greet us and yelled at my friend when he asked for a menu and spilled our coffee all over the cup and floored and looked at us and rolled his eyes. I felt he was extremely unwelcoming to interracial relationships. I would NEVER recommend to this location to ANYONE.

Wonderful space for black people looking to share their art or make friends. I was immediately welcomed and made to feel comfortable. They do require food purchase but it’s worth it, the quesadillas came with this unique mango salsa I loved.

My book club meets here about once a month and we absolutely love Urban Luxe. The ambience is calming , the staff is so nice and welcoming. I love the jerk tacos and the smoothies too! 10/10

The barista was really rude and gave me my ice coffee without adding my oat milk.

Was here back in April with a friend who's from Chicago. We went for spoken word night. The food, the ambiance, the vibe was really like family. I also liked that they livestreamed (to IG or FB, I forget which one). The owner, Dee and her staff gave us the warmest welcome. Filled with music, laughter, and some sassy conversations, it was one of the highlights of my trip. Excited to be back soon. Sending hugs from the jewel of Loíza, Borinquen. 🤗

Urban Luxe cafe is always a vibe. They host amazing events, live music, film screenings, conversations, open mics and more. The food and drinks are very good and they do have vegan options. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owner Dee is wonderful. A great place to grab a bite or a coffee, for a meeting or for nightlife events, to see performances, or to host an event of your own.
