Enjoyed a wonderful post-theater dinner at UVAE to cribbage my friend's birthday. We are made to feel special from the moment we arrived. We chose to sit in the wine and cheese tasting are, which was lovely. Both our server Sean and the manager Erika were quite personable, professional, and knowledgeable about the large menu and wine list. In addition to the main menu, there's a happy hour menu, starters and assorted specials each night of the week. The food, ambiance and service made fur a delightful birthday celebration dinner.

Uvae makes it fun to explore wine & wine with food pairing. I started with Cream of Cauliflower Soup with Thevenet Macon, then added 3-ounce pours of Nik Weiss Riesling & Extra Ball Chinon with Braised Pork, all delish! They also offer wonderful cocktails & Happy Hour specials. Highly recommended!

I love Uvae and dine there regularly. We went during Restaurant Week and this is the least favorable experience I've had there. The food was over salted and the pours with the wine pairing were unequal with each pour amongst our group, and were just a splash. Don't let this dissuade you from going. Just don't go at that event. The food, service, atmosphere, and wine are otherwise superlative!

I have been to Uvae many times, but this time around was very disappointing. First, our server said maybe 10 words to us the entire time we dined. He was uninterested and disconnected from our experience, start to finish. My friend and I did the testing menu with wine pairings. The first course was a brussel sprout salad that was so underdressed it made it difficult to eat the raw brussels. I tried to flag someone down to attempt to get a side of dressing. Our server never checked in, and the food runners coming out of the kitchen were literally running in and out, I never had a chance to grab someone's attention. The rest of the tasting menu was delicious, but our second issue was the wine pairings. Our server gave us maybe less then 1oz for every pairing. I understand that with a tasting you don't get a full pour, but we barely had enough wine to wash down a single bite. All in all, had our server been even a tad more friendly or hospitable, our experience would have been different.

I did their restaurant week prix fixe menu with wine pairings. The wines were great. As far the food, the cauliflower bisque was delicious. The rest of the food (brussel sprout salad, braised pork, bread pudding) were all meh. The ambiance is dark and cozy though, I loved it. And the service was good.

Great spot in Andersonville to meet up with friends. It's a wine bar with a nice happy hour. $8 glasses of wine during happy hour and usually some happy hour designated appetizers.
I go to Uvae often. This was on of the best meals I've had. Love the new fall menu, and I was very excited to have Erica as my server. She is the best!
