Soft serve is the hack for making vegan ice cream amazing!! Cookie dough with rainbow sprinkles.
Vanilla soft serve with chocolate chip cookie dough
Amazing vegan ice cream
Absolutely obsessedddd with the cookies here. Bring back the m&m ones 🙏
I haven't had a milkshake in ages because of the dairy in them, so I was both excited and overwhelmed with the options at Vaca's. The woman working was super helpful and the space is really cute. Will definitely go back!
Dare I say, the best vegan soft serve in Chicago. They also rotate flavors often so there's always something new in. I like coming back to try whatever is new. Seating both indoors and outdoors which is nice as well.
Finally visited Vaca’s today!!! I’ve followed them on insta for a long time. My husband and I live in the suburbs. Took us about an hour to get there because of traffic but 100% worth the trek. I have a severe dairy allergy so I find peace and comfort in vegan places as I know I’m safe to eat WHATEVER I want (truthfully … I wish more restaurants had more visibility when it comes to allergies.. but that’s a rant for another day). Although I am not a vegan (my husband also far from that) we both enjoyed this sooo much.
I had the special flavor of the month, peanut butter soft serve swirled with grape soft serve. Both flavors were perfectly balanced and didn’t over power eachother. The grape was super light and pb was just right lol. My husband had the Cookie Monster sundae. We also bought and split one of their Brazilian cheeze breads (they only had 2 left so I didn’t want to take both) they asked if we wanted it warmed up and my god it was sooo good and the perfect salty treat to go with the sweet ice cream. My husband (who is not allergic to dairy) said they tasted identical to a cheese bread that you would get at a Brazilian steakhouse.
Vegan or non vegan, anyone literally anyone at all would 1000% love this place and can’t wait to make another trip there one day. I was too excited to try it that I forgot to take photos lol
Is ok. A bit expensive.
Best ice cream in the city & it's vegan!! Unique sundaes with homemade toppings, and interesting soft serve flavors with specials every month! The area in Lincoln Square is so cute, this is perfect for a romantic date night.
This place started as a waffle cone maker so the cones are extra amazing ? and the portions are huge so come hungry. Fresh vegan pastries too from cookies to olive oil cake to oreo rice crispies, etc.
The decor is incredibly pretty, I love the color palette and the plants on the walls. Very eco friendly, most items are compostable & they have compost on site.
Dietary restrictions: All vegan!! And well labeled for other allergies.

Wonderful vegan ice cream, but it’s prohibitively expensive for what you get. The main menu depicts mouth watering treats, but the product is soft serve with some sauce and one topping.

Vaca’s Creamery is awesome, so happy to have tasty vegan ice cream in the city with flavors beyond the classic chocolate and vanilla! I also love that they also offer waffle cones, interesting toppings, and other treats/baked goods.

Came here on a whim at night to get some dairy free ice cream. The inside is cute and has a decent amount of seating, and there is also outdoor spots to eat your ice cream. I got the Death By special with chocolate ice cream. This is a chocolate lovers paradise - The ice cream is pleasantly creamy, the chocolate shell adds a light crunch and the brownies add some density to the combination. I really enjoyed it and the regular size was plenty. My girlfriend got the Corn on the Cob (corn soft serve) and she enjoyed it but wished the corn soft serve had a bit more corn flavor to it. They have a good amount of unique combinations that are relatively allergen friendly, and they clearly list the things on their menu that have common allergens.

How can you advertise this place as a creamery when they don’t even use milk, let alone cream. And their product is just awful-sugar and some kind of artificial flavoring. Even the waffle cone didn’t taste right. The whole thing literally left a bad taste in my mouth. The only redeeming feature was the picnic table outside. The cone was $9 and I threw most of it in the trash. I’m sorry, because what could be nicer than a rich ice cream cone on a summer night.
