I was in Chicago for a wedding and had been dying to try this place. We got macaroons and breads to take home to the kids and had pastries right in the cute little shop. It was beautiful, the pastries were delicious. The macaroons however ---- they have ruined me! They are the best macaroons I've ever had, nothing compares now.

Worst food and service Very disappointing experience at Vanilla Coffee Chicago. I ordered a dessert through an app that advertised fresh, same-day leftovers, but what I received was one small brownie taken from a freezer. It was rock-hard, stale, and had a bad odor, making it inedible.
I paid around $8, and the quality did not match what was advertised. Service was unhelpful, and no proper resolution was offered. I returned the item immediately.
Future customers should be cautious—the product did not match the description at all.

Craving something sweet with raspberries so I preordered the Almond Frangipane and it was perfect! Can’t wait to order again or stop by.

We loved our experience with Vanille for our holiday celebrations! We ordered the gingerbread house cake and the gingerbread man decorating kits and they were a huge hit with our family! Plus everything was delicious! We also did their Santa photos with our new baby and the Santa was amazing. Thank you, Vanille team, for making our Christmas so fun and helping create these special memories.

Absolutely loved my cake. I am vegan and had looked at multiple bakeries that could do a heart shaped vegan cake and Vanille was the only one out of 8 bakeries I called that could do this and the cake was a show stopper as well as delicious!! I absolutely would recommend them to everyone!!!
Vanille was so incredibly easy to work with for our wedding cupcakes! They were flexible with the design, coloring, and quantity, and they were delicious. Would highly recommend!

I don’t have enough great words to say about Vanille and the entire staff! First of all, what I really look for is taste and every product has been amazing. Second, everyone is so kind from emails to in person purchases.
We’ve been using Vanille for all of our most special events and then of course for a fun treat when we are in town!
We most recently used them for a cake for our son’s baptism and it was perfect! I wanted the same flavor from our wedding with the chocolate chip cookie dough filling! The best!!

We have been coming here for years, always getting the Royal, Manjari, and a +1, always excellent. Living within walking distance, this place replaced eating out for us and made any homemade meal special. We basically alternated between here and Cheval.
