Velvet Taco has officially become my favorite place to eat out! Every visit feels like a treat, and this time was no exception. I ordered the paneer tacos and the cauliflower tacos, and both were absolutely phenomenal.
The paneer tacos were rich, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully balanced — hearty yet refined, with layers of flavor in every bite. The cauliflower tacos were equally impressive: crisp, flavorful, and elevated with bold sauces that tied everything together seamlessly. It’s rare to find vegetarian options that feel this thoughtfully crafted and indulgent.
What I love most about Velvet Taco is their creativity. The combinations are inventive without being overwhelming, and the quality is consistently outstanding. You can truly taste the freshness and care in every ingredient.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable taco experience, Velvet Taco is the place. It’s hands down my favorite spot to dine out, and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Always amazing. Somehow they’ve kept their prices the same even past Covid and the portions are large and heavy. Great food, great prices, great ambience, great everything!

It is a place where you get something to eat which is vegetarian. It's an emergency food to keep your body and soul together. It doesn't fill you up unless you order many tacos, it tastes ok..
service??
What service. You order and then you pick it up from the counter. You better know where to look for the menu and what the names mean. It's close to the DePaul campus so it's good for the students! Of course my young adult lives this place. Paying $ 6 for a taco rattles the frugal in me.
My only positive about this place is that I can get something vegetarian.

Velvet Taco is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Morgan and Manager Jack is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Amazing tacos. Must come back. 10/10.

One of the best tacos I’ve ever had after the bar went back next morning for more 🤣
My first time at Velvet Taco. Food was delicious though I feel $6 for a tiny taco is ridiculous. I wonder how young guys can feel full with just two or three. i ordered beer battered, vegetarian taco and a corn with cheese dip.
Tacos were fine but the corn dip had a hair in it, when I brought it to the server's ( cooks) attention he just shrugged it off and later replaced the dip!
Ruined it for me.
I need to try some other location for better experience
