It is a place where you get something to eat which is vegetarian. It's an emergency food to keep your body and soul together. It doesn't fill you up unless you order many tacos, it tastes ok..
service??
What service. You order and then you pick it up from the counter. You better know where to look for the menu and what the names mean. It's close to the DePaul campus so it's good for the students! Of course my young adult lives this place. Paying $ 6 for a taco rattles the frugal in me.
My only positive about this place is that I can get something vegetarian.

Velvet Taco is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Morgan and Manager Jack is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Amazing tacos. Must come back. 10/10.
Amazing spicy tikka tacos. Guacamole and chips is alright.

One of the best tacos I’ve ever had after the bar went back next morning for more 🤣
My first time at Velvet Taco. Food was delicious though I feel $6 for a tiny taco is ridiculous. I wonder how young guys can feel full with just two or three. i ordered beer battered, vegetarian taco and a corn with cheese dip.
Tacos were fine but the corn dip had a hair in it, when I brought it to the server's ( cooks) attention he just shrugged it off and later replaced the dip!
Ruined it for me.
I need to try some other location for better experience

Stopped in after a movie in the park, the staff was incredible and SO nice. First time there so I had no idea what I wanted, and they walked me through some options to help me decide. I wasn't waiting too long but they insisted I had been, so they gave me some chips and queso! It was way too nice of them and very unnecessary, but I really appreciated it! They had a busy night with lolla people and were still patient and kind with everyone. Definitely check them out!
