We went there a year or so ago and it was pretty decent. We hadn't ordered it in awhile and tonight decided to give it a shot after seeing gluten free pasta. We saw a previous review about the pasta and called ahead of time. I asked if they only had gluten free penne...I was told oh no we have spaghetti and others. So I ordered. And I got some of the worst PENNE gf pasta I've ever had. Good ambiance I guess? But not at all for gluten intolerance. Won't go back.

Some of the best Italian I’ve had, even outside of Chicago. The pizza bread to start off was phenomenal and everything else was great.
Dined out on a Sunday night on the sidewalk patio area - perfect in the summer.
Apps - Calimarj & Involtini di Melanzana
Main Dish - Fettuccine Bolognese
Dessert - Tiramusa

I know this place isn’t a hidden gem, but I still want to gatekeep it. It’s such a delicious, authentic restaurant with some great prices for Chicago! We got a sandwich and a seafood pasta, and I keep dreaming about this pasta. I WILL be back for more.

Ordered delivery of the Ronti Santa Lucia (their most recommended dish).
Not cheap but the portions are great. Food was okay
Very nice Italian restaurant with super friendly staff and delicious food! Their warm homemade focaccia is incredible, pasta is perfect aldente and they have Fanta choice of salad. Also there is quite big patio to enjoy nice weather. Would have given more than 5 stars if I could!

This has been a restaurant that we loved going to with friends. However, our experience last night left something to be desired. We normally order calamari Calabrase for an appetizer, but last night it just totally missed the boat. The grilled calamari was fried, and it did not have the spiciness that we have had in the past. Nor, were there many potatoes. the linguine with broccoli and shrimp was blah. I had to keep on adding pepper and Parmesan cheese to give it more taste. The lamb chops which were supposed to be medium, came out well done and had to be returned. Although we were sitting outside, the music from the inside was so loud that we had difficulty hearing the other at our table. I'm probably giving it a rating that is higher than if I had never been there before just because I know how good it should be. But last night, it missed the mark.
Awful! Ordered pickup for my sick wife,
bread was old, shrimp not fresh, pasta so-so. Used to go occasionally for dine in, it was ok, not anymore.

Via Carducci is such a lovely restaurant with a true family oriented feel that is like no other. Food, service, and ambience were spectacular, I will definitely be back!
If Google ever handed out 6 stars for a special occasion, this would be the time — and the dish to credit is the gnocchi four cheese. It was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. The dish itself was rich, comforting, and perfectly executed.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond, even extending warm hospitality to our dog. The service overall was fabulous — attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely welcoming.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for both outstanding food and a heartwarming dining experience.
