We went there a year or so ago and it was pretty decent. We hadn't ordered it in awhile and tonight decided to give it a shot after seeing gluten free pasta. We saw a previous review about the pasta and called ahead of time. I asked if they only had gluten free penne...I was told oh no we have spaghetti and others. So I ordered. And I got some of the worst PENNE gf pasta I've ever had. Good ambiance I guess? But not at all for gluten intolerance. Won't go...
Some of the best Italian I’ve had, even outside of Chicago. The pizza bread to start off was phenomenal and everything else was great.
Dined out on a Sunday night on the sidewalk patio area - perfect in the summer.
Apps - Calimarj & Involtini di Melanzana
Main Dish - Fettuccine Bolognese
Dessert - Tiramusa
I know this place isn’t a hidden gem, but I still want to gatekeep it. It’s such a delicious, authentic restaurant with some great prices for Chicago! We got a sandwich and a seafood pasta, and I keep dreaming about this pasta. I WILL be back for more.
