Friendliest staff ever! The inside is designed well. Great for making a quick coffee run or working from home. They helped me with picking out a beverage based on what I like and it was delicious. Will definitely be back!

Get the ube latte! Omg I'm obsessed with it. It was so delicious. The matcha latte was quite bitter but I think Americans are really used to sweet. Staff was kind, the shop is set up really cute and it was a great place to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon.

I ordered the ube latte (hot, 12 oz) and it was pretty delicious! The staff was friendly and adjusted my drink to a lower sweetness level when I asked. The ube latte had a deep purple color and the flavor was pretty ube-forward. The atmosphere was also quiet enough to get some work/studying done or catch up with a friend. I'll definitely come here again!

The vibe of this place is really nice. Their coffee ranges from either extremely strong or too milky. Granted Vietnamese coffee can just not be my thing. I had the hot chocolate with coffee and it was decent. It's an okay stop

Absolutely incredible, had an amazing time having lunch + coffee at VietFive! I highly recommend. The Vietnamese coffee (traditional with cadenced milk) was authentic and tasted amazing, we were also treating to a really inspiring story about how the coffee is harvested with so much care in Vietnam and has been grown for 3 generations of their family. The banh mi was amazing, I’ve been to vietnam several times and have had a lot of banh mi in my life - i can definitely say this is one of the best I’ve ever had. Come to this place!

It’s so expensive but I feel like I’ve had better instant coffee than this 😭😭 coffee was too sweet and not strong enough, and the Banh mi bread was kinda stale… this was the second time I’ve been here because I wanted to give it another chance after a mediocre experience my first time since its such a nice atmosphere but I feel like I just got ripped off…

Btw nobody asked if I wanted it hot or iced so I assumed (given this winter weather) that it’ll come hot… I was so surprised that it came iced and when I asked I was told that all the coffee came iced unless otherwise requested (I must have missed that specification on the menu). But the staff looked so tired and bored that I just took my order and left instead of troubling them to remake it hot. I really wanted to like this place, but I’m so confused and frustrated by my experience. ☹️

Run, don’t walk, to Vietfive Coffee for your next caffeine fix. We are visiting and I am so thankful we stumbled across this place three days ago. I’ve been here each morning for a #3 Ca Phe w/ coconut condensed milk and a Pork Empanada. Soooo good. If you’re stopping by for lunch, highly recommend the OG Bahn Mi. Gonna be grabbing a second one after the lunch rush. Also a great spot to work for a bit.

It is HARD to find a good banh mi in Chicago, but this is a place that serves one. I’ve craved this sandwich since I moved here from NYC and this place’s sandwich gave me what I was looking for. Also, the atmosphere is adorable; the woman who served me my drink mentioned her mother in law’s contribution to their recipe’s, and I believe in the expertise that goes into their sandwiches. It was full for a reason—a genuinely fun café!

I love the food and vibe at Vietfive : ) Dion and Nia are incredible people, they really know their stuff. It’s always a delight to stop by and relax while grabbing a bite and a coffee.
