Stood there waiting for my take out order not being acknowledged. Had to repeat myself several times to get the order and then my friend’s order as well. Food was not made with the proper milk… just not worth the price and hassle

Me: can I have a cold brew and an oat milk cortado?
Barista: is whole milk ok for the cortado?
Me: no.
Barista: what kind of milk would you like then?
Me: oat milk.
The espresso was bad, the cold brew tasted like nothing at all, and the barista looked at me with the same blank stare I get from my neighbor’s cat when I ask it questions. It’s almost impressive that they made espresso this badly. Thank you for making me realize I have been taking my regular coffee shop for granted. Tomorrow morning I will be tipping each employee twenty dollars.

Best coffee shop in town! In a neighborhood with a bunch of options, Vigo is head and shoulders above the rest.
Super friendly knowledgeable staff. Great, clean ambiance that's perfect for remote work. They even have a private room for conference calls!
Good selection of pastries and even some lunch sandwiches as well. And super creative drinks (outside of coffee)
My wife and I took our kids there when they first opened, and their owner was so kind to our family, that we've made it a point to keep coming back.

Came in first time to get a coffee really quick. Seen they had horchata everything so got it in a latte. BEST drink ever. Not too sweet not bitter at all. Love it. Def will be back to enjoy again. Super friendly and nice quiet study spot

manager there was rude and clearly didn’t know what he was doing. sad because the guy with a mask that’s usually there is really friendly and always makes my drink well. not sure what’s going on but after that and seeing a roach in the cafe i doubt i’ll be back
sergio took my order today and was just belittling the barista on the shift that got sent out crying. not too sure what happened but i can’t imagine enjoying my coffee while the boss yells at people. my drink was super gross and there were roaches everywhere
Stopped into Vigo Coffee on Lincoln Ave—grabbed a Café de Olla latte and an egg‑cheese‑bacon croissant, spent around $14. Latte was cozy with that cinnamon‑orange vibe, croissant was flaky and hit the spot. Space is chill but gets snug during peak hours. Baristas were solid, though line moved slow. Nice spot to relax or knock out some work. I'll be back.

This place is just too bad to give your money to.
Tried to walk in around 2:30 & was immediately told it was closed. However, the hours of operation in the window said it closes at 4 pm on Saturdays. May want to be better about letting people know your hours have changed.
Cozy coffee spot with some great drink and pastry options worth checking out. The chocolate orange brioche was tasty and felt seasonally appropriate. Good variety of seating options, nice light and fun music!

Great service! Great food!
VIGO Coffee in Lakeview is a hidden gem that’s quickly become my go-to spot for a chill vibe and top-notch coffee. I grabbed their horchata latte and it was a game-changer—smooth, just the right amount of sweet, and the cinnamon hit perfectly. Paired it with a chocolate orange brioche, which was flaky and had this zesty kick that balanced the richness. The space is bright with big windows, making it ideal for working or people-watching. They even have a semi-private conference room you can reserve for free, which is clutch for meetings or focused work sessions. The staff is super friendly and clearly passionate about their craft. All in all, I spent around $10, and it was worth every penny.
The Cafe de Olla coffee and the chocolate orange brioche were both quite delicious. The location is spacious and the barista was friendly and helpful.
This place has lovely lighting and a great chai latte—super spicy and not very sweet. The croissant tasted like day old on a Sunday at 11 and they didn’t head it up until we deemed it inedible without warming up (if yours not baking in house then all croissants need to be warmed up). The smoothie was also a glass of milk. So given this whole experience 3 stars feels fair.
I purposely stopped by this coffee shop today and appreciated the free street parking and convenient location. However, the space lacked coziness, with a cluttered corner and a menu board covered in tape and handwritten ‘out of stock’ signs, giving it an unpolished look.
The sofa was uncomfortable due to its deep seating, and the strong sunlight made the space uncomfortably warm. The overwhelming pastry smell was also a bit much. When the barista handed me my coffee, he spilled some but didn’t bother to clean it up. He was nice but slow to address the situation.
I wanted to like this place, but it fell short of expectations.
