Ticket from an elite yelp or that this place is awesome. I came in with my son on Sunday and the man/owner could not of been friendlier. Although he did speak broken English he was very kind and took his time to explain to my son what the different items were in the deli. We settle down a cookie and some piroski. I am totally sure I'm spelling that wrong but what those were right on top of the deli case and a serving pan wrap with saran wrap they look like heaven great sized sponge dry egg foo yong patties, they were filled with this pork and vegetables let me tell you they smelled incredible. The man was so kindly heated them up for my son my tire son took one to go before we got out to the car you said dad we need more. Again I want to over say that the owner of this place was very kind to us and if anyone wants to see a difference perhaps he has a bad day we all have them but an hour visit he was nothing less than stellar. We ordered six more of those pork stuffed buns and we will definitely be back even though it's a long drive for us over an hour. If you're looking for authentic Ukrainian deli food and Russian specialties this is a great place to go to thumbs up! A++

Authentic homemade Ukrainian dishes (or so says my Ukrainian girlfriend), and a huge selection of canned and picked packaged goods. Also some very difficult to find Russian liquor and beer. The owner is a very nice and helpful guy....great Deli!

Cash only. Remember this! I got a really good grilled mozzarella, tomato and basil sandwich on wheat (with chips!) for $4. Even. I like even numbers, so this pleased me immensely, and I hadn't even taken a bite. :) But I assure you, the sammie was stellar. I got it to go, and it was pressed and prepped in under 5...excellent. Didn't have time to check out the coffee drinks, but they have some tasty sounding concoctions involving caffeine, so I may be back if I am in the 'hood. Decor is funky, with burlap coffee sacks lining the walls. Service was good, though I was almost the only one in there...so who knows. Definitely a good, cheap lunch option....

This place pretty much sucks. And I don't say that about a lot of places. The guy working here had an attitude as though he were too cool to be working at a place like this, which definitely showed in his lack of friendliness and care in putting our food together. 4 of us grabbed dinner there to take back to my friend's place, and we all were disappointed for various reasons. The 2 of us with cooked sandwiches found them to be just gross - too much cheese and very soggy (we only took the food across the street, it wasn't sitting for more than 5 minutes). He got the order wrong on one of my friend's sandwiches, also. The 2 non-cooked sandwiches didn't look quite as terrible, and apparently only tasted about half as good as they looked. Finally, my chocolate milkshake was seriously just chocolate milk because he put entirely too much milk in it. In addition to the customer service comments I have already made, while our food was being prepared a new customer came in; she was thoroughly ignored and just stood there while the guy finished our food and rang us up. Not even a "hello," or a "I'll be right with you" - like she wasn't even there! Maybe the coffee drinks are OK, I wouldn't know. Maybe the ice cream is good if they don't try to make anything out of it. Either way, do NOT eat the food, it's not at all worth it even though it seems to be cheap.

There werent that many people there when I went today, a Sunday so I dont know about teenagers hanging around or mafia looking people, but they are common on all corners in Ukrainian Village. I thought that $3 for a 20z iced mocha was a very good price, taxes are included so it was just the $3. The pastries all looked good but I didnt try any this time. It was my first time, I had forgotten it was even there, only a block away! I'm excited to go back and try a creative drink, sandwich or yummy looking scone. The girl that waited on me was speaking something european to the couple ahead of me, but spoke perfect english when I walked up, which is very nice. I will definitely be coming in here a lot now that I have rediscovered it!

I was so happy to see what looked like a trendy, alternative, freindly cafe in what is otherwise a more bland end of the UK village. I'm sorry to say I gave this a couple tries and I just can't endorse it. Sure, the food is actually not bad, and if you were passing through there are some nice things to take on the road. But the service was questionable (not too friendly, long, made me feel unwelcome when I asked for special requests) and the atmosphere is kind of creepy: maybe it was the old guy sleeping on the lounge couch in the back, or the loud talking mafia-looking people coming in and out of an adjacent door and passing through while you are trying to eat or read, or the guy that looked like he might be the owner being somewhat rude to the employees and making what sounded like racist comments. A sweet cover for a corrupt-feeling undertone.

Well, I will say that it is good to see neighborhood coffee type places that are NOT Starbucks doing okay. But if you are not a Ukrainian Teenager, you'll feel a bit uncomfortable here (as they sit outside the doorway and act as bouncers and talk about their cars all through the warmer months). A smidge overpriced, but a decent cafe attempt that brings this neck of the woods up to a higher speed.
