Best chicken Caesar wrap in the game
I went here in a Friday night around 5:30. It was not too crowded, me and my family if 3 were able to sit on the heated patio. Great beer menu, kid friendly, french fries are hand cut style unclear if they are freshly cut, and the ambiance gives neighborhood dive with strollers. Take that how you would like, I was a fan as a person with a child. I had to come here because I am a CCSW (Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap) aficionado and people brag about it. I was not unimpressed but also was not overly impressed, it’s a good sandwich. It didn’t have croutons, hardly any parm cheese, and the Caesar dressing was sweet. It was romaine lettuce, chicken was good, but the sweetness of the dressing was a turn off. Overall a 6/10 for the CCSW. They also have a set of hot sauces, most of them were empty but the thought was there. Definitely somewhere to try. They have a big pretzel that comes with pimento cheese which also didn’t hit, but it was good. Def good for families.

Been coming here for years, and is my favorite, local Roscoe Village neighborhood gem. The food, the service, the selection of beers....always consistently awesome, and always such a great time. My favorite is the fried zucchini, the burgers are amazing, and loved the shrimp tacos. So many memories and great celebrations here with great friends nand family.

We were visiting Chicago from DC and wanted to try the beef sandwich. We picked the right place! Very cozy atmosphere with great service and excellent beer selection. The sandwich was amazing. Hope to make it back to Roscoe Village and Village tap soon!

We came here after a night of Trick or Treating.
Our Server was courteous enough to advise us that the food usually takes at least 45 minutes.
It was worth the wait.
I came for the famous chicken caesar wrap. It was light yet substantial. Garlicky. Not overly sour like store bought caesar dressings. The micro croutons will keep you going. The ration between the lettuce, dressing, smokey chicken and toasted wrap were meticulously perfected. It is $20! That is quite expensive for a wrap.
We also get the pimiento burger. It was lovely. I want it again.
Also got some corndogs. It tasted homemade. It was alright.
This is such a fun place. Plenty of seating at the back. They have a photo booth! Servers are friendly.
Live this spot, just got this message from a buddy after seeing your IG story “Village Tap baby!!! They took my fave sandwich off the menu. It was a BLT. Triple decker with pita bread and a basil pesto mayo. It was epic. Granted that ten years ago. Still love them and their food”
I kindly request you bring it back as LTO and the B in BLT can stand for Brett who is sammy’s biggest fan.
Love their food

Lifelong Chicagoan who defected to Portland, OR 8 years ago. Lived in Roscoe Village for 20 years and Village Tap was my spot, so I had to go back and visit on a recent trip home. Boy oh boy, do I miss this bar. The vibe, the beer selection, and the amazing staff…. There’s no peer. Special shoutout to our server whose name I never got, but was wearing a gold necklace with a letter “M” medallion on it. She is the GOAT and Village Tap is the greatest neighborhood bar in the city. Fight me.

Photo booth was very cool and we had fun after a wedding. The bar staff was pretty rude and that put a damper on the overall vibe, but overall we still had fun. The outdoor seating on the sidewalk was nice as well.

There’s no better bar in Roscoe than Village Tap. They have a variety of drinks so everyone in a group will be happy, I’ve ordered almost everything on the menu and it’s all been delicious, they have the friendliest staff and the photo booth is one of my favorite in the city.

I kept hearing about the chicken Caesar wrap.. yes, I’ve also jumped on that bandwagon. I also heard that the one at the Village Tap is the best.. it is not. On the menu it said you can either get the salad or you can get it in a wrap and it’s truly a salad wrapped up without it being elevated in anyway.. also, I don’t like how runny the dressing is. Like mine a little thicker so it doesn’t break through the wrap. It’s also $20 but massive enough to share. It just felt too steep and subpar to be called the best Caesar wrap in the city. Good ingredients, decent taste but nothing I’d go out of my way for unless I was nearby.
I did knock off an additional star, because my server couldn’t be bothered to get a fresh set of utensils and gave me one from a table a family was sitting at.. it especially annoyed me because she didn’t pay attention enough to realize it had (what I later discovered) their chipotle ranch on it.. kinda gross. Not very demure ;)
