False advertisement on The prices. Very little meat this was the most horrible sandwich I ever had in Chicago and then when I called to tell the lady about it she got an attitude and hung up on me they should not be in business it's sad that they actually use D'Matos name because they use their bread.

Super friendly, super fast, super tasty subs! Sub bread is excellent, very high quality bake paired with high-calibre sandwiches on the menu. Nonna is a national treasure and treats you like a favorite son as soon as you walk in the door. And if you look at prices these days, these guys compete there too -- great food and you don't break the bank. Support better, affordable and friendlier local shops like this one-- add Vinnies to your list for a great grab-and-go bite near West Loop.

A Chicago staple! Make it a point to come here and try any of their amazing subs and add the hot peppers. It’s a nice change of pace from the robotic chain sub shops. Will happily be back.

The subs are good. The main problem I have is the system that is in place. I watch 8 people get there sandwiches before me even tho I place them my order first, these were not pre orders. When she called out an order that I thought was mine but wasn’t, the owner pointed at me and said “ I knew it wasn’t you”. I thought she was going by the order of how customer place their order. I understand it got busy but if she needs help she should get it or set up a better system. Not really fair that I had to wait 30 min while the last person waited about 5 mins for their sub.
Amazingly delicious classic subs. I'm a big sub sandwich person and this place delivers some fantastic sandwiches and the cashier, Darlene was such a delight. Definitely recommend!

This classic sub shop is a definite must if you are hunting for a sandwich around lunchtime. Very simple sandwiches that are flavorful and carefully crafted. Everyone who works there is super nice as well.Prices are pretty extremely reasonable, too — so there is almost no reason to go to a Jimmy John’s or Potbelly’s for a worse, more expensive sandwich.

Whatever the sub lacks in this fast paced sub world, this place makes up for it by being called “honey” or “sweetie” or “handsome young man” by the incredibly lovely Nonna at the counter is worth everything and then some.Protect this woman at all costs. If you call, expect it to take a minute. Do whatever it takes to just check this place out.Definitely add artichokes to your prosciutto and mozzarella, and have a soda you’re not sure what this liquid is. Just do it.Blue collar and honest.
