Finally made it here after living on the north side for awhile and let me tell, it did not disappoint. Had been putting it off because I feel you can get great tavern style pizza all over the Midwest, not just Chicago but this stuff is the real deal. Perfect cracker crisp crust and loaded with flavor. Like a good Chicagoan boy I got the Sausage and Hot Giard and it was the perfect mix of savory, spicy, and cheesy while still being light and airy. Pair that with an Old Style on draft and I was in heaven.

Great vibes on a Wednesday at 11:00AM with a few local folks and groups getting together for an early lunch. Awesome old school vibe with colored lights and carpeted walls. Only one waitress working the bar and tables but she did a great job and we were well looked after. Things might get crazy on the nights and weekend but it just felt right slamming a pizza on a weekday morning in Southside Chicago.

Definitely making the trip again!

PS: Get the Tomato Bread! Won't be disappointed.

This is truly my happy place. Besides the nostalgia and the comfort you feel from the minute you walk in, the wait staff and everyone there (including the guys in the back making the pizza) are so inviting and friendly and make you feel like they are genuinely glad to see you. Besides that, they have the best Pizza in the entire city! It is consistently fresh, with the best ingredients and always served piping hot and always with a smile!

So we finally came to see what all the hype was about and from the get go it was very disappointing we walked in and the guy behind the counter didn’t greet us just told us to take a seat. The pizza is way overrated too thin the bottom was burnt I mean we felt like we were eating pizza from the microwave it was that bad. To make matters worse we got overcharged on the menu pitcher of soda says 9.99 but we got charged 15.25 and to my calculation everything should’ve came out to 86.74 and we were charged 99.89 seems the waitress tipped herself or something either way we didn’t wanna cause a scene so just paid and left but the pizza was horrible and the service sucked will never go back.

This review is to warn others to avoid the store bought V and N's pizza. Straight up trash and obviously I would be surprised if they are the manufacturers of this garbage. Avoid at all costs. They should be ashamed.

The pizza was very good, but that's what they are known for. Although the staff and the kitchen sometimes feel like they are teenage boys that don't know what they're doing. They are constantly burning things. Oh, and do not get the chicken wings. They are disgusting they are breaded disgusting pieces of God knows what- it tastes horrible.Don't waste your money on it! And they should have beef sausage.
Other than that, it's a cute little time capsule place. But definitely do not get the wings. They are discusting.

Fantastic neighborhood pizza place. Thin, cracker-like crust and fresh toppings. We are a big fan of their sausage pizza. Great for eating in or take out.

I haven't been there in decades and it's just as good as I remember, maybe better. You can't beat South Side tavern style pizza and this is as good as it gets

The rumors are true, this is the best tavern style pizza you will find. Operating out of the same location for 105 years, this place makes a pizza crust that is impossibly thin, crunchy, and airy. Imagine a crunchy cloud with delicious pizza toppings. We drove 2hours round trip (weekend traffic) from the north side and it was worth it. Cash only, no atm on site.

The BEST thin crust you can find! First time there and did not disappoint. Old school inside, cash only. Great pizza and Old Style on tap. Can't be beat.
