Would not go here again. The food is cheap, and for a reason. Quality was terrible. Bland and mushy. I’ve literally never had worse sushi. I know this seems blunt, but just being realistic. My friend got the hibachi which looked pretty good, but not enough to make me want to go back. Don’t let the all you can eat fool you.
I ate all you can eat dinner which is 31 dollars and it's totally worth it. All the sushi are fresh and delicious! Rolls are good too!
Food was delicious! The fish was fresh and the dressing was tasty. The location next to UIC makes it a convenient spot for a quick meal. The staff is friendly and the place has a nice chill vibe. The new owner (since 8months) revived the restaurant and greatly improved it. Greatly recommended!
Great neighborhood restaurant for some comfort food sushi! Friendly staff with awesome service and effective communication! New owner took over the restaurant with bad/mediocre reviews since 8/2022 so don't be deterred if looking at the old ones :) The mood is chill and food was ON POINT.
The sushi itself inside the sushi roll all looked like catfood. My girlfriend took a bite of a piece of sushi and she pulled out a long piece of fat that was inside the sushi, made her gag and not finish the rest of it. I was quite put off by it as well and didn't finish the rest of mine. The atmosphere was pretty depressing but our waitress was very nice and attentive to us both.
Food was good… until I found a sharp piece of glass? Or metal in my rice… very disappointed because I really liked this spot but now I’m a bit nervous to return.
Some of the cold sushi seemed to be warm as if it sat out too long before serving but over all it was okay.
Went for dinner. I had miso soup and orange lady roll, and snow lady roll. Everything was delicious. They have a fairly large menu and I can't wait to come back and eat through the whole menu. Had an iced green tea to top off the metal and it was delightfully sweet and a very generous size. The service was prompt and very friendly. I would definitely recommend to sushi or maki lovers.
Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options.
Parking: Ample street parking.
Great sushi, nice ambient, professional staff. The all-you-can-eat option is a great way to just try s bit of everything.

My daughter and I went there for lunch, the woman who barely spoke any English did not explain anything about how to order, etc. She handed me a menu and a pen. It was a check off list. You had to check off what sushi you wanted, appetizers, etc. She also handed me regular menus and walked away. We order two different sushi, two small spring rolls, two small bowls of noodle, and two crab Rangoon. Not a full order, only two. It was very little amount of food. At the end, she hands me a check for 72.00!!! I said why so much? We barely ate anything. She then tells me we ordered all you can eat menu which was 29.95 per person! I said what? No explanation as to this is for the all you can eat menu and the regular menu for individual orders. I told the owner, the waitress never explained and they should! If I wanted all you could eat I would have went to a buffet!!! 29.95 is pretty steep for ahhh not so great sushi! No thanks, I’d rather go to Godzilla. Never again! They’re scammers! I was there for lunch and they charged me dinner prices!
I ordered 3 rolls, one of them being a sweet potato roll (which I asked if they could make as they don’t have this explicitly on the menu, and she told me yes). Clearly she misunderstood me because they gave me a Philadelphia roll instead. There was also this mysterious particle on the roll that looks to be like an eyelash?
Been living in the area for 2 years, best Sushi place there is. The pricing can be very reasonable depending on the sushi dish, me and my girlfriend always get the Rolls Feast.
It is unfortunate that I have to write this review. I entered this location on 10/26/21 and was not greeted at the door. After waiting for approximately 5 minutes, we were greeted and told that we could sit anywhere. I chose a location, pulled the chair out and saw a cockroach crawling on the chair. This caused a minor commotion, but I did not want to disgust the other patrons eating—immediately left after this. I really hope they handle this problem!
This is one of my favorite sushi cafés! They have many vegetarian options, and their appetizers are also delicious. Nice hot tea as well.
