I threw my coworker a birthday dinner here and it phenomenal our server was Dominic and he was such a gentleman and made sure all of the ladies had a great time. This was definitely a fun experience. The food was good. The shrimps and flat bread and the drinks were very strong. 9/10 experience ♥️

Our server was fabulous. He went above and beyond. And, the hostess was kind enough to accommodate not one but two additional parties. We had a fabulous evening!

Terrible food. Terrible service. Food was rae, tuna was spoiled. Waiter was not attentive.

I had a private event here and leading up to the event Monique was incredibly helpful and responsive. The day of, Oscar and his team were attentive, quick and overall great. We had an open bar and the bartender was quick and knowledgeable. Without a doubt I would have another event here. The views, furniture, and amenities were great.

Watch these guys. They don't credit my reservation deposit on my bill and they also included a 20% service charge / tip without telling me. We were only 3 in our party. By the time the noticed it they had already run the credit card charge through. I asked to have it corrected - they gave me a song and dance that it would automatically be done by there system the next day. Not corrected. I will have to call Visa and dispute the charge. Luckily I took pictures of all the slips and have the original copies too. What a dumb thing to do to a customer.

I recently visited VU Rooftop Bar and unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. While the space itself is stylish and offers a nice atmosphere, the service and food timing left much to be desired.

We had an 8:30 reservation, but the pacing of our meal was extremely disorganized. Our appetizer didn’t arrive until nearly an hour later, and by then, one entrée had already been served. My companion received his chicken sandwich first, followed by our appetizer about 10 minutes later. Meanwhile, I was left waiting much longer—my burger did not arrive until almost 10 p.m., nearly 30 minutes after he had already been served. This created an awkward dining experience, as one of us was left eating alone while the other waited.

In addition, the cocktails were underwhelming. For the premium prices charged, the drinks tasted overly diluted, with more juice than alcohol, which did not feel like a good value.

Overall, the atmosphere has potential, but the service flow, food timing, and drink quality fell short. At this price point, I expected a more coordinated and polished dining experience.

This was our first time. The staff was excellent. The one thing that would have made it better is if we would have been able to experience the outdoor spaces which were closed for private events. It might be nice to protect even a small amount of space for those who are not attending private events but would still like to have a full experience at VU.

Great views and patio area. Terrible food, servers were great but the cook staff you pick the food up from could careless. Had the hot chicken sandwich that was over fried and greasy. My friend ordered the same thing ate two bites and threw it out.

If you were not of the “right” kind of person, you were not welcome!!

Call ahead to confirm they are open because their hours are not listed correctly. I triple-checked their breakfast hours on their website, reservation system, and booking calendar. But I showed up to a locked building. Very disappointing because the food looked good and there aren't really alternative breakfast spots in the area. 1 star bc maybe this review will save someone else the hassle

Don’t close at 9 when it says you’re open until 11. Hotel patrons wanted to have a drink.

Drinks are wayyyy overpriced. I paid $25 for a margarita.
