Went here with my son to get some baklava. Truly the best place to try an assortment and learn. The gentleman behind the counter - Khadifa (I think that’s how you spell his name) is the BEST! He should get a raise! The quality of product and his customer service is one of a kind! He’s really proud of their treats and he should be, it’s fabulous.

We got an assortment and a Dubai chocolate bar. So amazing! And it’s a huge bar with loads of filling. Try it! Now! You’ll be sad if you got just one!

Very disappointed with this place. We used to love buying thousands of Dubai chocolates from here — they were the best in the Merc in Chicago. But recently, they changed the recipe and started making the chocolates with a peanut butter and pistachio sauce mix. Unfortunately, the new flavor is terrible and completely different from what we were used to.

We were really sad about the change, especially since we had placed a large order. The person we spoke to promised to replace the chocolates, but instead, they reported our DoorDash account — which feels very unfair. We’ve been loyal customers for a long time and always loved this place.

To make things worse, the prices went up and the quality went down. It’s really disappointing to see such a great product go downhill. We hope the company listens to feedback and brings back the original recipe.

Great service, great baked goods, what more could you ask for?

The dubai chocolate here is really, really good. It's fun to come here as an outsider to middle eastern desserts; the selection of sweets here is huge and offers ample opportunity to try something new.

If you really like baklava then this is THE bakeshop to buy at. There is a very nice selection of various Jordanian sweets and of super fresh high quality. Sold by the piece or pound but don't kid yourself, go for a pound. Or 2. Or just get 3 pounds and share the wealth..you'll have a bunch of new friends. Authentic and hospitable staff that will let you test out a product before buying. Clean and presentable offerings on sheet pans under glass.
Highly recommend the mini pistachio or walnut baklava. Birds nests with chocolate looked delish. They will dust your baklava purchase with ground pistachios. Bonus is the bake shop is adjoined with a cute little store for other items such as teas, dates and imported chips you can't find easily in Chicago.

Hands down, the BEST baklava in town! Everything is homemade, super fresh, and absolutely delicious. They have a huge variety of flavors, and you can really taste the quality and authenticity in every bite.

The guy behind the counter is the nicest—so welcoming and generous with samples! Seriously, you’ll get to try so many tasty treats.

The whole place has such a warm, inviting vibe. A true neighborhood gem. If you love amazing sweets and friendly service, you have to check out Donya Bakery. Highly recommend!

Went in to buy baklava. The preepackaged trays had no price tags. Was told by the sales clerk it was $30. Bought it and brought it to a party. My friend who is a chef graduate of Le Cordon Bleu tasted it told me that sugar water had been substituted for the honey. Very disappointing.

It's heyday was definitely two years ago. The desserts we bought were lovely and delicious; but the offerings pale in comparison to what USE to be offered in the photos dated 2020. We will be back, but only if in the neighborhood.

Sevein's World.

I recently went here for some deserts and my word, they didn’t disappoint. It was a little pricey for what I bought but the deserts were amazing. I would definitely stop by again.

At first i thought this place was good but today i tried the cheesecakes and they were very old. The cheesecake texture was dry and thick. Very strange. Bad experience. Never had a cheesecake that bad.
