It's in the hood but that just means it's worth the drive. We lived in Chicago for a few years and my MIL was the one who introduced us to this place. Stopped in after my son's dr appointment before heading back home an hour away. It was so worth it. The flavor and the amount alone is worth it. Spicy rice with the blackened chicken is my favvvv.

Small amount of food for the price. Spicy rice wasn't spicy at all. Blackend chicken was dry. Bought a pan of each and it was not worth the money
I’ve been going here over 20 years and it’s still the best. Pick up and go. Don’t be afraid. Just be careful like anywhere else new you’d go in a big city. Gd service and the BEST food. Cash only!
I have never had a bad meal from here,the hot bar was great I was unfamiliar with a option they actually let me taste it,of course it was good and I chose it as my lunch option. The smoothies are made to order using fresh fruit and delicious on a hot day.
