Websters Wine Bar Chicago

We came at the recommendation of a friend back home, and happy we did. Kitchen was just closing as we arrived, but were happily greeted and well taken care of. Bartenders were both extremely friendly and helpful with going thru the wine list and giving recs. If I lived in the area it would be a regular visit for me. Easy to be able to talk to whoever you’re there with, low ambient noise…very chill spot.

Food was good, Service and Atmosphere was wonderful, but I was put off when the candy and rose sellers I normally see on the CTA appeared three times in the span of an hour and tried to sell to each table. While I understand giving them a platform is nice, it isn’t something I’d consider appropriate for a restaurant. I’m surprised that they were allowed to do that.

A fantastic wine bar, with a very comprehensive wine list and great food on a simple menu that is more about quality than quantity. Couldn’t recommend it enough and it has a great atmosphere with reasonable pricing.

hugely underrated and thank goodness for that! really excellent, knowledgeable service and great food and wine. i’m a wine novice and they’ve never steered me wrong here. refined but not stuffy. great for date night or a solo after-work drink at the bar!

Webster’s Wine Bar is hands-down our favorite spot in Chicago. The hospitality is warm and genuine—every time we walk in, we feel taken care of. The wine selection is thoughtful and ever-changing, with something new to discover every visit. And the food? Absolutely incredible—creative, seasonal, and always delicious. Whether you’re a wine lover or just looking for a cozy, welcoming place to spend the evening, you have to visit Webster’s. It's everything a neighborhood wine bar should be.

We rented this venue for a rehearsal dinner and Welcome Party for our son’s wedding. Tonya was so helpful and accommodating! The planning process was so simple. Food and drink? Out of this world. The whole evening could not have been more perfect!! Thank you, Tonya, and the entire team at Websters Wine Bar. I will be forever grateful!

Best place to get a great glass or bottle!

Stopped in for a glass of wine and appetizer. The bartender gave us no suggestions after we prompted her with our interest in dry whites. We ordered a cheese board, but asked about gluten free crackers indicating that we would need those for allergy purposes. Our drink and food was delivered with no information, no comments, no checking in- once we had completed our food and drink, the bartender commented that she was sorry she could not offer anything gluten free. I had to explain that we would have no idea what was provided given no one had spoken to us. Mind you we were one of three total tables in the entire restaurant. This is an overpriced waste of your time- mediocre food and drink and horrible service.

Webster’s is hands down my favorite restaurant and wine bar in the city. I’ve been coming here for years, maybe 6-7 years now, and have not once been disappointed. It’s our favorite place to take friends and family from out of town, every time they’re in the area.

It’s my favorite recommendation for anyone looking for a nice meal or curious about wine. The staff is always so knowledgeable and guides you to the perfect wine selection. In addition, their wine selection is funky and unique, ensuring that each visit is a fun new experience.

The food is also incredible! The cheese and charcuterie is my favorite snacking item and I always default to the burger if I’m hungrier. Their menu changes seasonally so there’s always a fresh new item each time I visit.

Worst service of my life! I would put 0/5 if that were an option. The server was incredibly rude, rushed me to order and treated me as if my presence was a burden.
