What a great spot! Came upon Weeds when I recently moved to the neighborhood. I met John, who runs the place and he was extremely welcoming and had a very fun conversation with him and he explained how the bar has been within his family since 1963. That is a true staple within the community and a bar to be owned for the duration is very honorable, especially with changes of time.

Unaware if they sell food here, but great tap selection & decent table. A healthy amount of regular shooters (non-league & league), bartenders are really chill & helpful.

We live a few blocks from here and after a few years in the area I decided to give this place a try. We visited on a recent Saturday night and the place was packed as expected but there was room at the bar for us. The woman who took our drink orders at the bar was just what a person tending bar should be - attentive and engaged with her customers and seemingly enjoying being there.
