For me, spelled and wholemeal bread is too small for the price.

The cakes here are amazing, especially the freshly made raspberry ones. The ladies at the counter were so friendly and helped me pick out the most delicious one.

I've tried to support this local business a few times. I feel like I get the worse mean mugging every time I'm there. The staff always looks angry and in a bad mood. Communication is zero. I tried many of their breads and if what you're looking for French or Turkish style breads, this is not your place.

Bunch of rudest ladies ever! Arrogant, rude, eyerolling, never smiling or welcoming!
The bread and pastry are good, but their attitude ruins it big time!

This area seems to be a Polish town.
Now that I think about it, I don't know if it's true or not, but I've heard that Chicago has the second largest Polish population after Warsaw.
When you think of Poland, you think of Chopin.
The only thing I can think of is the invasion of Warsaw, but it seems like a very nice place.
I have a friend in Chicago who is a Polish young lady. The child had a very kind personality and became interested in Poland.
Well, the shop faces an empty main street,
It seems like this is the only place where a shop is open.
The store was small and I was a little nervous as I'm not a local. However, the staff at the store were pleasant and answered my questions.
Since it was my first time at the restaurant, I only ordered a small piece of cake and a danish.
All the products have a simple appearance.
I don't usually eat sweets.
But I wanted to try it.
When I got home and tried it, I realized that the sweet-looking cake turned out to be way too sweet.
It looks like they have bread too, so I'll try it again next time.

Very wide variety of Polish & European types of bread, rolls, Polish "Pączki", pastry etc. There's quite a few flavors of excellent homemade cheesecakes & pies to choose from. Everything is traditionally made from natural ingredients with no preservatives, stabilizers or other unnecessary additives. Everything tastes SOOO GOOD!!! On the grocery side there's selection of canned or vacuum sealed meats, cheese & salads to make your favorite sandwich with. 5 STARS!!!
