This area seems to be a Polish town.
Now that I think about it, I don't know if it's true or not, but I've heard that Chicago has the second largest Polish population after Warsaw.
When you think of Poland, you think of Chopin.
The only thing I can think of is the invasion of Warsaw, but it seems like a very nice place.
I have a friend in Chicago who is a Polish young lady. The child had a very kind personality and became interested...
Very wide variety of Polish & European types of bread, rolls, Polish "Pączki", pastry etc. There's quite a few flavors of excellent homemade cheesecakes & pies to choose from. Everything is traditionally made from natural ingredients with no preservatives, stabilizers or other unnecessary additives. Everything tastes SOOO GOOD!!! On the grocery side there's selection of canned or vacuum sealed meats, cheese & salads to make your favorite sandwich...
Great selections of breads, pastries, and cookies. The only drawback was that all items were tagged in Polish, but there was no English translation. And the woman behind the counter didn't speak English. Another clerk helped, but her English was very limited. But, I definitely will return, I will take pictures of the labels, then translate them to English, so what to choose in the future.
