Wilma's Famous BBQ & Tavern

I'm not trying to tear down a black owned business but my experience was not great. Everyone at the table received their food and it was cold. Then our food was not served correctly we asked for sauce on everything as my receipt show and we received all sauce on the side and our server Lucky G stated I don't know why the kitchen did that but they did give it to you on the side. She never even tried to take it back and get it corrected. So no my first time was not great not sure if I will return.

I always visit Wilma's when I come to Chicago. BBQ and Mac & cheese is spot on. I also enjoy their frozen strawberry lemonade. We had 6pm reservations but Bears game and getting to restaurant didn't take as long as I expected. The took us early, no issues !!

The food was great, customer service was excellent, Delano was our waiter and he was awesome, he very attentive and he explained everything to us
We are from Wisconsin and we will definitely be back

A local loop bbq spot. It was good but not great. Had st Louis ribs and the were well prepared but average. I'll go back because it is convenient. Try other things wings or pulled pork.

Tonight, I visited this restaurant to celebrate my mom’s birthday, but it turned out to be a disappointing experience. The food arrived slowly, and it was quite bland. The only saving grace was our waitress, Alexa, who was attentive and apologized for the long wait. However, it was frustrating that we didn’t receive the best service, especially considering the restaurant was practically empty. To add insult to injury, these restaurants automatically charge an auto gratuity, regardless of the service quality.

Amazing restaurant!!! I had catfish and rib combo with sides: macaroni and cheese , yams, greens. I had the soul food egg rolls. The food exceeded my expectations! I had a Wilma cocktailI , very tasty and a bit strong. I will definitely recommend. Only flaw ; parking downtown sucks. The music was a hit as well. Custom service was awesome!!!

The food was too much money I can go to canes or Harold's Chicken in be full in still have money in my pocket that change me 20.25 for some jerk wings .hit me back Facebook family

We went to Wilma's to celebrate my husband's birthday and we had a great time. When we arrived, it took a while for all of our party to arrive due to traffic, but they didn't have a problem. Once everyone arrived we were seated immediately. Once we sat down they brought us water and then the waitress disappeared for a while. We had to ask someone to get the server because we were ready to order. After that things were fine. Our server was helpful with menu items and attentive. The food came out rather quickly except for one order that we had to ask about. The food was pretty good. The soul rolls were delicious. We ordered several things off the menu and people shared. Later we met the bar manager and he was extremely helpful. When I ended up staying for several hours vibing out, laughing, talking, and ordering some delicious cocktails recommended by the bar manager. Overall we enjoyed the time and food. Order the mac and cheese it's good. They even celebrated my hubby's birthday and validated the parking. We are definitely coming back. The only real issue was that the women's bathroom needed attention.

Jasi and Twan are the best. This place is really nice. I enjoyed the hospitality. Was very clean. The food was excellent. Fresh and hot. Must go to for Happy hour. Try the punch bowl cocktail. It won't disappoint.
