Delicious! Now a disclaimer...the BBQ is North Carolina southern...as Texan transplant, this is an important distinction. Nevertheless, it was a much needed southern hospitality spot. Love it, so warm and loving, our family had a good ol' time. The soul food hit the spot, greens, yams, grits, biscuits and gravy ahhh in the middle of the day on a Tuesday in the West Loop 😂. Absolutely fantastic... The chef even came out to talk to us about their Chipotle syrup for the chicken & waffles. Soooo good!!! Our waiter was the best, great recommendations and helped walk us around the menu for the first timers.

This restaurant has been around for many years and my review may be slanted because of my nostalgic memories of all the good experiences and great food I've enjoyed both here at this Lakeview location and at the West loop location when I rented a loft at 14 n. Peoria near Greektown. Some of the dishes I highly recommend are chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits and the combination vegetarian platter which is a choice of three sides.
