Wixter is literally the only place I buy seafood. I’m from south Florida and love fresh fish but trust me when I tell you that the quality of these flash frozen fillets is superior to anything you’d expect from a frozen fillet. Their house brand fillets are delicious. The salmon is flavorful and isn’t fatty tasting (like at grocery stores). I love their mahi mahi and the yellowtail is out of this world. The staff is friendly and happy to answer any questions about their products or how to cook them. They also offer a separate freezer with sushi grade fish, house-branded jars of seasoning (dill seafood and Caribbean citrus are fabulous!), and other ingredients for cooking seafood. I’m so glad that this storefront is available for Chicagoans to find sustainably sourced, delicious seafood.

Have been there many times and love the products, but disappointed they no longer have the large packages of smoked salmon and steelhead. They used to be great quality at a great price, but with the move to ‘retail portions’, it is no longer as competitive with other brands. Still love the sashimi grade fish though!

Good Wixter Market, better part is that it's fresh and not overwhelmingly salty or over seasoned. The coleslaw is tasty but they give about half of a palm size of a serving, very small. The Wixter Market is not big at all and definitely not worth. Not to mention the line, it takes about to order. Overall, its ok.
