My best, all-time favorite and go-to Korean BBQ ever throughout many years!! Could never express how much I love the food and the service here. Up until now, no place can match the marinated galbi they have here, as long as their kimchi soup. Highly recommended!!

The biggest advantage of this place is the charcoal grill. However, you'll experience the magic of somewhat pricey, lower-quality cuts of meat separated from the ribs, which might make you feel like the charcoal is being wasted. If you're a foreigner of Korean cuisine wanting to experience charcoal grilling, I recommend trying it just once. I want to emphasize the fact that this isn't exactly representative of Korean bbq

We ordered Mando, Bulgogi and Bi Bim Bap . Bulgogi good portion of meat for $24 and tasted good had carrots and mushrooms , not fatty, the Bi Bim bap , smallest portion of meat of all the places we have been to, added meat from wife’s plate. Veggies were fresh and I liked taste, she said the sesame taste was to strong. Mando appetizer was good , fresh and hot . They set out the usual side dishes that were good $60 before tip. Men’s bathroom was cleanParking: We parked on street

Although prices are getting more expensive, the meat here is of high quality.

Had a lunch date on Sunday with my sister. There's free parking so that was pretty cool. We thought we'd give the restaurant a try because it was listed as "all you can eat" but was not, with disappointingly small portions. The server took our order but did not write it down. I ordered the tofu beef soup and got seafood instead, and she kept questioning if I was sure. We wanted to have the full bbq experience and cook the meat ourselves but the server did most of it for us. I asked if it they normally do that and she said they usually cook for people who didn't know how to do it. Despite expressing our wish to cook ourselves, she kept interfering, leaving us with minimal time to talk and making us feel rushed! The restaurant, with its constant “full service” and the server cooking our food, might be suitable for some, but it left us frustrated and dissatisfied.

I liked the galbi and all the banchan. I did not like the spicy chicken - no flavor or spice tbh. Just stick to the galbi and you’ll be happy.
One of my favorite kbbq restaurants, low key, but fresh, I especially like the eggplant side dish.

Tastes good but a bit pricey, though everything is shareable portions! If you order kbbq, it's cooked on a charcoal grill, which gives it more of a smoky flavor. The kalbi was great but I wouldn't order the pork belly again. I preferred this meal with rice and eating the meats with the kimchi that's included in the bonchon (small side dishes). Fast service and lots of standard bonchon dishes as well as salads. There are private booth areas which is nice. A typical family-owned Korean restaurant--authentic.

We had a lovely time here. It's one of the last remaining places with live charcoal grill. Very authentic Korean food that you can expect from Kbbq places in Korea.Galbi (Kalbi) is a must and they do that very well here. Best kbbq in Chicago, run by a very kind Korean family.
