I cannot fault this bar/restaurant! I was lucky enough to visit 3x over a 2 week window and the service was perfect every single time. Staff were so friendly; they took time to chat during quieter periods, welcomed me by name after the first visit and made this out-of-towner (who isn't normally a bar person) feel welcome every single time. I greatly appreciated the non-alcoholic drink range and the food was beautifully cooked each time. I will certainly be returning the next time I'm in the area.

The food was alright but it was expensive and left us a little dissatisfied. The appetizers were the best part of our meal. The service was disappointing. Our waiter was rarely at our table and we had to flag him down after waiting 25 minutes. We were celebrating an anniversary and the host asked us if my fiancée even liked me. It was a memorable night but not for the right reasons.
Food was terrible! We used to love this place. Perhaps there was a change in ownership?

His was our first time at Wood and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was exceptional and the service was attentive. We are already talking about our next visit.
Was there with a friend on 12/24. The place was half empty. The service was not good. They seemed to be rushed to get us out of there. I finished my plate and while my friend was still eating they come over and place the check on our table without even asking if we wanted something else or dessert. The french fries had a deep fried old oil taste. I usually like this place but we didn't have a good experience.
Wood used to be a place or excellence and a great dining experience. I gotta tell you. The menu is now terrible. The selections are either “not available” or just plain limited, tired, so contrived and undesirable or just plain “phones in” I have been going to WOODs since the doors open and even thru out the pandemic. Have a standing 4-5 week dinner with friends. Employees great. Service great. But last night we lamented about whether it would be around much longer. Menu is awful and $ for what you get. Very sad. They need to seriously step back, listen to staff/customers/self reflect and try to save themselves before it is too late and Lakeview loses a place that has been an institution in our neighborhood. Please Chef an Ownership. Take pause and listen. This is a request to save WOOD
3 menu items we were looking forward to were not available. The burger was $2 more on the bill than it was on the menu.
Esther was amazing and I can't wait to have a drink at the bar with her there. Amazing!!!!

Started at the bar while waiting for a table I had requested, so we were fine to wait 10 minutes or so. Esther, the bartender, was excellent. We all loved our drinks. Scott, the host, was also our server. He is fun, professional, and on top of everything. We had a great time. I live up the street, but I hadn't been back to Wood in about 2 years. I think everything was better this trip than on my last one.
Food is always good and server pleasant. The problem is the timing in the kitchen. Took us two house to get our entrees. Can't do that. Sorry. No matter how good the food is and friendly the staff is a casual dinner shouldn't take over 3 hours.
Great food with affordable prices

Service was terrible. Food was pretty decent, but not enough to make up for the atrocious service. Went for my birthday and won’t be back. Sorry y’all.

Service was very efficient. Drinks were great. Food was not nearly as good as it had been in the past. It felt like it was overpriced for the quality. Both salads we had felt like they were trying too hard to be elevated. It didn't achieve that goal. They were just confusing on the palette. The bolognese was good but not anything special and the Pork Duo had good flavor but the spaetzle was overly salted and was not a good accompaniment to the pork. Overall, we used to really enjoy this place and always found the value in our visit. Something has changed and all of us question if we will return.
