It was my 1st time coming to this place sat by the bar it wasn't too busy for a Friday night. The person that took care of me his name was Joe I think, tried a new cider named triple jam drank 3 had also some grilled wings bone in of course garlic parm wings and some sweet bourbon glaze and with some fries. Everything was good especially the wings I enjoyed the grilled marks on the wings, when they are available of course. I will come back to this place to try more food from this place.

My husband and I come here all the time and usually have a pleasant experience. However, tonight was different. We ordered to go for the first time, but decided to eat there. First, the chicken was naked, we were told it comes like that when you order to go (I don’t remember seeing that when ordering). The sauces weren’t labeled, so we asked what was what. They took them back in the kitchen to label them and labeled them incorrectly.
Then we noticed that the 2 blue cheese sauces I ordered weren’t in there, but an extra ranch was. When we brought this to their attention, we were told we had to buy another one. I explained that this was not my mistake, but the kitchens. The bartender said he has to ask the manager if this was ok, came back and said we had to pay for another sauce.

After seeing them pop up on my IG feed I decided to give Woodies a whirl. The hostess was nice and got us a table on the first floor fairy quickly. The place is small with a lot of Ohio State Buckeye decor. Not sure thats a great idea being in downtown Chicago, but I was there for the wings, so whatever. We ordered the garlic honey and Chimichurri wings with a side of fries. Order came out quickly, too quickly I believe, because the wings, although piping hot, tasted like they could've used a few more minutes in the fryer. The garlic honey flavor was fire, but the chimichurri was packed with a wierd tasting herbal blend that I didnt care for.
As far as the ambience, the place is tiny. Its a typical sports bar sonits super loud which I.expect. The Illini game was on and it was a super irritating guy doing the most after every bucket. Bro acted like he wanted some attention. Got on my last nerve. Not the restaurants fault but still. I do love Old Town so I will give them a point because they choose that for a site instead of Fulton Market or Lincoln Park

Went for a pick up order
Def recommend ordering from the site, some third party sites are charging extra on orders.
The wings came separated from the sauce. Wings were average but the sauce was amazing! Going to try dining in soon.

Walked into Woodie's Flat for the first time and was greeted by the hostess very nicely. It's a small bar with not a lot of tables, but a cozy welcoming vibe. However once I sat down with my friends I was immediately bombarded by the server wanting to know what I would like to drink without giving me a chance to even get settled into my seat and look at a menu. After saying I needed a minute, not even a couple minutes later and he was back asking again. I felt like I was being very rushed to figure out what I wanted to drink and eat and like they were trying to get us in and out quickly.
The wings were good. The nachos were just okay, same with the mini chicken sandwiches. I do not recommend the happy hour espresso martini, it tasted like very watered down coffee with no alcohol in it at all.

The wings are the best in Chicago. They deliver them with the sauce on the side, which I thought was weird but keeps them really warm and crispy.
HOWEVER. The Cincinnati chili is so dry. It doesn’t even come with cheese, comes with onions. Sad bc it’s the only Cinci chili in the city and it’s like real bad :(
Wings are the best. Cincinnati chili is literally onions and cinnamon on dry pasta

Top 5 wings I’ve ever had. Came in after a show at Zanie’s and was more than satisfied. Workers were prompt, friendly and attentive. Super buffalo is delicious if you like spicy food.
Great food, the wings are awesome! Great happy hour specials, but it can get really loud upstairs.

I was up in Chicago for my work Christmas party from Florida and needed to watch my Bengal game somewhere on Sunday when my fiancé found Woodies online saying they are a Cincinnati Bengals bar. Man were they ever, even with the loss that day it was a great experience and I left with new friends. To add to that the wings they are claiming are so good…..are so good 😊 they fell off the bone. We got there before they opened and the staff was so awesome letting us come in and even without a reservation they made it work for us to have a seat & our bartender went out of his way to get us a charger with our phone dying. So want to personally thank Sean ( sorry if I got your name wrong bro I’m not good with names and I was feeling no pain lol) for the great experience I will definitely come by again next time we are up there and as always feel free to reach if you ever make it down to the sunshine state . Best wings in Chicago! If anyone knows me, they know this is my favorite spot. Even our dogs are welcome. I get catering for my important events from Woodie’s.
Entering Woodie’s, I was greeted by very welcoming workers and was immediately consumed by the comfy and cozy vibes. This restaurant gives off the interior is small but comfortable. The TVs are amazing and probably the most notable part for me since I love sports. We ordered the Woody burger and the wings. The woody burger was pretty average as it was overwhelmed by the condiments and not much spice or flavor. The wings were actually fantastic, but I do think that they needed to be more meat on the bones. Strawberry habanero is definitely a must have. Their sodas are also great as well and overall the place is clean and a great stop for finger foods and drinks. Will be back.

Terrible service. They don't know how to provide hospitality or service with a genuine smile.
No class.
They don't care about education. They need Jesus.
The ambiance is scary and uncomfortable.
