Bissap (Sorrel)
A tart, cranberry-like flavor drink made from the dried red flowers of Hibiscus sabdariffa, a kind of hibiscus plant, Jus de Bissap (Beesap) seems to be more of a tea than a "juice". It is often called the "national drink of Senegal". The dried flowers are often called dried red sorrel, sorrel, or roselle.
Ginger
A zesty, pungent tonic. Yassa's special recipe made from ginger roots. Ginger is known for its many medicinal qualities and also known as an aphrodisiac.
Baobab
This very nutritious, milky drink is made from dried baobab fruit pods. The baobab tree has many names, one is 'the tree of life'. This exotic tasting fruit contains a powerful vitamin c content and is full of other vitamins including thiamin, potassium and calcium. It also contains nutrients for alertness, energy and immune system support, antioxidants, dietary fiber. Everything that your body needs and loves! Not only is it nutritious, it is delicious!

Sorrel. A tart, cranberry-like flavor drink made from dried red hibiscus flowers. Traditional beverage prepared by the chef.

This is a solid option for African food in Chicago. The food is good! I don’t like that most menu items are ala carte and the prices are high for the portion size!
Still every once in a while it’s a solid option. I always get the grilled tilapia with jolof rice and add cabbage! The cabbage is bland I season it when I get home! lol

Visiting from SC. The food was amazing, my first time trying West African food such as this. The fufu was as delicious and sweet and meshed amazingly with the sauce graine. The sauce graine was cooked to perfection with shrimp and beef! Would definitely recommend!

The snapper was fantastic! Perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The cabbage and plantains were delicious too, and the hot sauce added an amazing kick. Everything was so good—I ate every bite and left nothing behind!
