The food was delicious, but being labeled a "test kitchen", I would have expected more experimental things on the menu.
I liked it all. Great spot to enjoy some morning grub with family

So, the service was good but it was completely empty. My son loved his food, but I am gluten-free. I ordered blueberry pancakes, and they were not done. The waitress took them back and asked if they could put the blueberries on top because they were messing with the gluten-free mix (umm, not really a thing). I was then served 2 plain pancakes with cold blueberries on top. I was also charged extra for the blueberries, and they took nothing off for the uncooked food and inconvenience. For $60 for 2 people for breakfast, I think they could have done more for me to compensate.

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day so I actually remembered this outing a year later. My husband took me for breakfast here last year. Everything looked good but tasted funny. So after leaving we both just started vomiting uncontrollably. I think I never wrote this review because I was too sick ? to and then later I suppose I put it out of my mind. Regardless if you are thinking of a Valentine's Day breakfast definitely don't go here. I'm so happy no one video taped us pulled over vomiting out of both sides of the car... OMG!?!? What was wrong with those eggs!?!?

First time at the test kitchen, however have visited both south loop restaurants several times and have always been a fan!Went for Sunday brunch with our 3.5 year old, we ordered their special Redemption Avocado Toast, which is an adult entree, our 3.5 year old ate almost the entire thing and it was pretty large!Everything on the menu sounded awesome, I went with the sunrise burger and got fried pickles to shareWife got the Hexe Old Fashioned which was awesome and creative

I was a bit disappointed. I expected more for the price. The food left a lot to be desired.

Though I've eaten at other Yolk locations around Chicago, I enjoy coming to this test kitchen to see what is being created. Service has been friendly on every visit, and I try to taste whatever is new. The only downside is the parking. It is a definite go-to if you have an early day but time enough to relax and enjoy a hearty breakfast.

If you've been to any of the other yolk locations this is a small step up. I was expecting a few more "out there" dishes, but the YTK coffee bar picked up the slack, lots of good drink selections.Food was a little under salted and under spiced, but not so much as to make anything bad.

I've been to this location a few times now and am happy to say each time is better than the last. The service is always on point, the food options are endless (lots of sweet and Savory options) and our meals are always very tasty as well as the coffee options. Last time we stopped in our server, Zachary was so nice and helpful. If you're in the area definitely worth a try!

The Korean Hot Chicken and Waffles and Buffalo Mac and Cheese Chicken and Waffles are both fire! My husband and I go here for breakfast just to get them. The ambiance isn’t great and there is always a wait but the menu is awesome and food is so tasty.
Kid-friendliness: It’s very kid friendly, there are always tons of kids there.

No wait on a rainy Saturday, in the early afternoon. I picked this spot for my husband’s birthday because of the cinnamon French toast, and he loved it. I liked my dish, though most of the options were fairly typical brunch fare. A good experience overall, including friendly staff and quick service. I’d go again.
