The first time I went here with my vegan friend and I'm so glad to have found this place! Food is amazing and well portioned. Clean plate club!

When I’m sad I travel to the Westside and unwrap tamales like gifts to myself. This right here the chicken green w/ green mole. It doesn’t solve my problems but I definitely forget about them when eating here. This is my second time coming. When I say this tamal heals a little piece of me… I travel for about an hour. It’s worth it

Delicious! I love oaxacan style tamales and these are perfect. I had the quinoa and lentils and green mole which was so cozy and full of flavor. I hope they add more vegan tamales because they are one of the few places with no lard!

Love this place! Best Tamales in the city. Edgar is usually working the front counter and he’s always very kind and helpful .
My favorite is the green chicken tamale. Fire!
They also sale a variety of jarred salsas and moles.
Seating is super casual.

First time here!
Just walked out of this place so satisfied & yummy full!
Tried the chicken tinga & poblano tamales both dinner style & it was such a unique but delicious meal!! My husband commented on how moist the tamales were! We hate dry tamales! Haha. We also got to try the kale limonade made in house & that was so refreshing! (Not pictured bc my son was drinking it) Their waiter & waitress were very welcoming, she let me try the mole sauces before deciding which one I wanted as my topping. They sell jars of their homemade mole sauces, so we took two home! Definitely recommend!!

Literally amazing. As someone with gluten and dairy allergies, I cannot express how excited I am about these terrific tamales. Great service. Dedicated fryer. We live 2 hours away, but we will be back!

Never had a tamale or mole here that I did not like. The green juice is incredible. Everything is so flavorful and worth every penny. My only qualm is I wish they were open a little later so I could snag some dinner on my way home from work :)

Me and my partner went on our first date here. We’ve been back many times!

They make amazing tamales, gucamole, and have a lot of unique juice flavors. Everyone who works here is also incredibly nice.

Lots of vegan and vegetarian options, great service.

Excellent tamales! So much good flavors and texture. I got the black beans with cheese tamale dinner with red mole, and a chicken tamale dinner with green mole. Both were out of this world. I would come back and get more in the future

This was my second time having tamales from Yvolina's and they did not disappoint. My brother asked for them for his birthday and I did not hesitate to bring him what he asked for. They are fresh and tasty! We ordered the green chicken, pastor chorizo, black bean and lentil. They were all delicious and filling!

Size, flavor, texture, price and how well made definitely hit the mark. These tamales come with banana leaves which is more common for southern and coastal parts of mexico and areas of central america. So these tamales allows you to expand your palate on how they can be made slightly differently and have a different taste profile. For me, the banana leaves they are wrapped in causes the flavor of the masa to be somewhat lacking compared to the other traditional corn husk preparation. This is common in some parts of central america and Mexico that are the typical tamales most people here are accustomed to. Either way, if you want to expand your tamale flavor profile, this is a good place to do it.
