Love this place! Bagels and baked goods are always so fresh and flavorful. Staff is always a delight. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem inside The Old Post Office.

Lots of positives about this spot and the man, Sam, running the show. I stopped by their location in the Old Post Office food hall and had the Reuben. The meat was near perfect, the bread was exquisite, cheese slightly melty, and Sam also sent me home with one of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve had since I moved out of my mom’s house. Really looking forward to their brick & mortar location opening up soon, to continue my journey through their deli sandwich menu.

I did try out the Pesto Turkey sandwich at a promotion location today and it was great. Also loved the tomato soup. Definitely recommend for party catering.

Didn’t know what to expect from a stand in a food court, but this bagel was a 10/10. Scallion cream cheese on everything — definitely just as good if not better than any bagel I’ve had back home in Philly. Kind and helpful staff too, in the historic old post office building. Highly recommended.

To make some mistakes resulting in a sopping wet, disintegrating, greasy $17 rueben is one thing, to consciously serve it is just a disappointing lack of pride. Both of the people behind the counter knew what they were serving. It was so wet they almost dropped it on the way into the bag. I mean it folded on itself.
It happens, there are bad days, but as someone who made sandwiches for a living.. I'd be mortified if this was served at a place I worked.
Without some QC this place will lose repeat customers for sure. Manny's isn't that far after all, with a sandwich three times the size. I hope they figure this out -- we could always use more delis!

Not sure if I’ll ever find a decent bagel in Chicago.. bagel I got at 7:30am seemed like it was a day old. $6.70 for a bagel and cream cheese is a little pricey.
Sam (owner) is awesome, really cares about his craft. I had the new corned beef Reuben, and it was incredible. House-made corned beef was SO good.

I love coming here to enjoy my brother's bagel sandwiches. They are so special and delicious. He's been a chef since age 15 and that's why his food is so good! There's love in the food!

Heaven help you if you ask for peanut butter. "get cream cheese like everybody else, ya ever heard of nut allergies?". Ya ever heard of lactose intolerance? Imagine back chatting a polite customer with cash in their hand, WHILE they order.

Zeitlin’s is officially my go-to bagel shop when I’m in Chicago! Not only is the food absolutely amazing, but all of their employees have been so kind and wonderful to interact with. I love a classic everything toasted with cream cheese, but don’t sleep on the salt bagel!
Great bagels, the owner was so kind and fixed an issue I was having with my order ASAP. Can't recommend Zeitlin's enough.
Amazing food and such a friendly team! Would definitely go back for more
I just had the Mushroom Reuban and it was amazing!! The mushroom combination was a great texture.
Zeitlin’s Deli was so kind in donating bagels for our annual non profit fundraising event. The bagels are the best we’ve had in Chicago and not one was left behind. Truthfully as I myself am from New York, you can’t get any other bagel better then this in the Midwest. Thanks again Sam and staff for excellent communication, coordination, and support for the Pink Boots Society Chicago- women in beer.
