Did a pick up for a gyoza, garlic shrimp wrap, and a Boba. I'm not usually into boba's however this one was tasty. The crispy chicken Gyoza was bomb, and the wrap wasn't bad either. I placed my order online and it was ready in about 10 mins, very quick and easy. If you need a fast lunch spot, this is your place.

Came here for a Yelp Elite event. Can't complain about free food but it was very average tasting in my opinion. The boba wasn't the best--the boba pearls were kind of hard and did not taste very fresh. I also got fried dumplings (fine, but nothing spectacular) and the spicy garlic shrimp sandwich in a rice paper wrap. The flavors were there but there wasn't enough shrimp in the wrap. I was left basically wasting half the wrap because I already ate all the shrimp in it. Mid overall.

Pretty underwhelming experience from top to bottom for my first, and perhaps only, visit to Zenwich in Wicker Park. Upon arriving after placing my order, the person behind the counter seemed genuinely confused about my order. At first, it didn't seem like they had it, but when I mentioned I ordered it as part of the Yelp Elite special, he put something together. When I got home, I learned that it was the wrong order. Yes, I did order the chicken katsu sandwich, but because there isn't a separate option for it on the menu, I made sure to tap the button that said to substitute tofu for the chicken. Well, that did not happen. I am a mostly vegetarian at this point (my wife is full on), so although I didn't really want to break from my dietary norms, this was our plan for dinner and I did want to try the food as it looked and smelled quite good. Perhaps thankfully, the sandwich didn't taste nearly as good as I'd hoped, which ended up with me eating almost none of it. While cooked and packaged well, there was simply no seasoning to speak of. The chicken was tasteless, as was the breading. The faint teriyaki dressing was all you really had to get any flavor from this whatsoever. Which was interesting, because the truffle fries, while soggy and looking like they came from McDonald's, actually had quite a bit of seasoning. I had hoped the boba tea would save the meal, but my wife, who absolutely loves boba tea, could barely make it through a few sips as it was incredibly syrupy and sweet. Thank you to Yelp Elite and Zenwich for the opportunity to try. I really did want to love this, but despite a great idea, the execution completely missed the mark. Perhaps willing to chalk it up to a bad night as so many other reviews are good, but I think it might be a bit more than that.

The fries are thin but made it home crispy! However, the truffle seasoning was very overpowering where it was hard to taste the sandwich, wish I had a few bites of my sandwich first to really get the flavors. The sandwich was a nice size and had a bunch of shrimp. Shrimp were meaty and garlicky, however, the spiciness was underwhelming. The sauce on the sandwich was very sweet, no spice or spiciness to that nor did the sandwich have any cilantro either. The boba was pretty good, a bit sweet, but that was my fault for not asking for it to not be super sweet as instructions said to mention that. Would love to go back and try the chicken katsu or the steak sandwich and other teas! Thank you Zenwich and Yelp for the experience!

Good sandwich! Got the Katsu one. Tasty slaw, good sauce, perfectly cooked katsu. Fast service too which was awesome. Not sure which flavor boba I had but it seemed to be a black tea one. Was good. Food was waiting for me on pickup, easy enough parking to go pick it up. Friendly enough staff. Good food and good quick service. Win win. Cool atmosphere. I'll be back

Ordered takeout here as an Elite event - gifted a full sandwich, truffle fries, & boba. Online ordering was quick and easy. I ordered the spicy garlic shrimp sandwich which was surprisingly tasty, even after a 35 min commute home & a zap in the microwave. Good bread, lightly breaded shrimp, which was generously portioned, arugula, & a sauce/aioli with a kick. Great combo. Truffle fries were mediocre but would probably be better if ordered in-house vs takeout since they were real soggy. The boba tea was not too sweet, which is usually my concern, yet good, although I'm not sure the exact flavor they provided. From the appearance & the menu description I believe it was the Signature Milk Tea? Overall, it's a decent spot for a quick bite. All three items seemed to be priced for around $25. If I were to go back it'd be for the boba, or maybe a sandwich, but I feel like there's plenty of other sandwich options in the area.

Zenwich had an event with Yelp elite where I wasn't able to join in, but it did inspire me to stop into Zenwich for a weekday lunch. I was so excited! Boy it was disappointing. Arrived a few min after opening & the door was locked. Entered and the menu was a letdown- none of the fries advertised were available to order. Ordered the caramel cheese top bubble tea, which didn't have the top as shown on Instagram posts (maybe they didn't add it?). They have their meal ticket print out near the order station (you have to enter everything yourself, no employee to take your order)-- which makes it seem like you should keep your ticket. But when I did the employee came to me and ask what I ordered & took my ticket. Order process needs to be redesigned. Then we got our meal... I ordered the Mad Monk (vegetarian) and was given a sandwich with shrimp. I brought it back and asked why was there shrimp and after at first saying because that is what is within the mad monk, the employee realized she gave me the wrong sandwich. When I actually got the mad monk- disappointment again. The Patties were nonexistent, it was literally just like a fried batter. Not good. My husband got the Thai bbq pork belly (wrap) and said it also was not good, that there was barely any meat in his sandwich. I can't believe what we got was almost $50, at a restaurant that just calls out your number too, no service. To me it seems there is a huge gap in training- menu understanding, service itself, service recovery, hospitality. Additionally there seemed to be only 1 employee, so it was extremely slow. From time of order it took ~25 minutes to get our food. I'm really disappointed in all facets of this restaurant. Ownership/management needs to completely take a look at every component of the restaurant/team/menu.

Food was good -- I ordered the truffle fries and rice paper wrap. The spicy shrimp was yummy! My order was ready when I arrived and the server was very nice. It's a cute spot in a great location, a little hidden. Didn't love the fries but I would come back for the shrimp. Pretty affordable too.

The food was soooo good ! And I loved how it looked on the inside ! It was nicely decorated. The girl at the front desk was very nice. I loved the brown sugar milk tea.

I love this place! The classic brown sugar boba is solid, but I have also had and loved the matcha milk tea with the fruit jelly. The food is also delicious, the crab cake sandwich is crispy and wonderful. They have been so nice whenever I had questions. They gave me little samples of the agar and jelly to try. I’m not sure why they aren’t that busy, maybe because the sign is a QR code and people don’t really notice? I love this little neighborhood boba shop.

Great bubble tea! Drink was easy to order and tasted great. Boba was cooked perfectly.

I order from here pretty regularly and almost always order the same sandwich. It’s great most of the time. Today and once before, the tofu in my sandwich was burnt to a crisp. There was no one in there when I ordered, so it wasn’t busy. I paid for a tofu sandwich but mostly just got lettuce and thin crispy tofu crackers. I’ll continue to order from here. That being said I’d rather wait longer for my order to be done correctly than have a fast version at a lower quality.

Love the boba tea here! Great, strong flavors for the teas - my go-to is the brown sugar but have been happy with others I’ve tried, and the boba is high quality. Food is good, clean and fresh, I’m partial to the spicy shrimp (it’s not very spicy but good flavor) in a rice wrap for a healthy lunch.

As a huge fan of the Elitea in Chinatown, I was excited to find that a new location was opening within walking distance from me! I visited within the first month of opening and was sorely disappointed at how sweet the bubble tea was, despite asking for the lowest sugar level. On top of that, the pearls were both inconsistent in texture and added a whole other level of sweetness to the drink. I chalked it up to them being newly opened and decided to wait some time before trying again... ~8 months later I decided to give it another shot and the bubble teas are still just as sweet, but at least the boba texture is consistent now? Ultimately, the quality of this Elitea location is nowhere near the original and I don't see myself coming back anytime soon.

I asked for 30% sugar. If what I got is 30% sugar then what do you guys do at 100%? It's pretty average and way too sweet.Edit:- The rude reply from the owner kind of speaks about the place now, there's no thing as customer service here. It's laughable ?. I'd highly recommend anyone seeing this, you better pass this place because if you got a problem, their response is usually this tone. Read their replies on other critical reviews.
