Went there tonight to try and treat ourselves to something nice. Got a togo order (big burrito and a taco dinner). Waited about 15 min, no big deal. Got home and husband starts in on his big burrito and its cold. Like they threw it together and didnt warm anything up. I had to put it in our air fryer to warm it up.

Although the food here is a bit pricey. This place has the best Mexican food around. Make sure you ask for limes and hot sauce for your meal, as they don’t just give it to you anymore. You will have to pay extra for those limes and hot sauce now.

Better than Chicago. Walked in and the atmosphere was very authentic to a point where you thought you were in Mexico. Great service and were very friendly, and helpful. Delicious Mexican food, and by far the best I have ever tasted. This is my new favorite restaurant, and will be visiting here again 100%.

Our first time stopping in at El Patron Mexican Restaurant. We really had no idea this restaurant was in Coal City. But the truth be told, we were going to a pizza restaurant in town when we happened upon El Patrons. Both my wife and I will take a good Mexican meal oven pizza most of the time.We definitely were not disappointed. Both of our meals were excellent. The service was much better than we expected. The atmosphere is very laid back. The prices are very reasonable for the size of the meals. All in all, we will most definitely be returning customers. We do highly recommend this restaurant El Patron Mexican restaurant when you are passing through Coal City, IL. and your tummy is saying, "Please Feed Me."As always, please be safe in your travels and always take time to get out and not only smell the roses but also have a tasty meal.Parking: There is street parking, but it looked like there is a small lot behind the building .Kid-friendliness: This restaurant is kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: The entrance and restrooms are wheelchair accessible.
