“Babes is a great bar and reataraunt in Coal City. I stopped in on a Monday night after work to celebrate a friend's birthday and was not disappointed. Walking in the front door, the bar is open and inviting. There are gambling machines and a shuffle board table there to pass the time. I sat at the bar and was warmly greeted by Bri. I ordered a beer and a couple appetizers to start. The kitchen is in the front of the house so you can see your food prepared. The jalapeño poppers were a standard deep fried jalapeño with cream cheese, fried to a perfect brown crust on the outside and a creamy spicy inside. The cheese curds are an above average variety. The batter is salty and crunchy which pairs perfectly with the melted gooey cheese on the inside. Next up was the burger. I ordered a hamburger and fries which was recommended by everyone in the place. It did not disappoint. Grilled to order and seasoned with the confidence of an experienced cook. If you are in the area and want a great meal at a great place, stop in and check them out. I know I will be back when I'm in town.”

“Visited the Clubhouse Coal City with former classmates tonight & had an absolutely awesome dinner. Bloody Mary was top notch & one of our friends ordered a caramel Apple Martini that looked scrumptious 🥰 I ordered the much talked about ribs & was not disappointed ❣️❣️❣️They were fall off the bone tender; dripping with deliciousness ❤️❤️The sauce was a fabulous complex of flavors that satisfies every point on your palate - a 10 star delight on a plate🤩🤩 Salad was super fresh with just the right amount of added extras 😉I ordered the mashed potatoes & again the seasoning was right on point. Service was excellent 😍 I guarantee you I will be back, with more people, as this restaurant does not disappoint!!!”

“My wife and I love this place. This is a small family run restaurant best suited for carry out. The service is fast and the food always fresh and hot. To me, the General Tso's and Orange chicken is as good, if not better, as other big name Chinese restaurants I've tried. The Crab Rangoons are awesome.
One suggestion would be to add a small cup the red sweet and sour sauce for the Crab Rangoons and egg rolls (I keep forgetting to request it...lol).”

“Passing through town and I stopped by on a whim. Boy did I nail it! They were very welcoming. Seems like the perfect hangout for this small town. The bartender (Felicia) was awesome with a great sense of humor. If I lived in the area it would be my go to.Great local bar with top notch service!”

“I use to go out of my way to order at the braidwood location. I heard the coal city store has new owners. So I decided to order from there twice in the last few weeks, and everyone in the group has enjoyed the pizzas. Service at pick up has been fine as well.”

“It all started on boring Friday at work. Then the craving for Pizza was lingering for about a week to we had one of their fliers in the delivery folder. Didn't think anything of it to just get a Gio Special (close to a supreme) with cheese bread. Ohhh this thing filled a void that I didn't know was there. The cheese stretched like a TMNT pizza and the crust holding the toppings was like a pillow that held you with comfort. I thought it was kinda a one off since I was craving pizza. Well I had a party and had to order about 8 pizzas and the person that took my order to be be ready for the following day. No really a place to sit down but one heck of a war room back there and pies were flying off the shelf out the door. Anyway they were a hit at the party and for how busy it was I got the same pizza that was just so darn good. IF YOU NEED A PIZZA THAT WILL FILL THAT VOID! THIS IS YOUR PLACE!”

“For anyone who may have been misinformed. Whistle Stop Cafe in DIAMOND, IL is not closed. It is still thriving and still has great food at even better prices. Yes, there is another restaurant in Canada that closed. Same name, different owners (different family entirely).”

“Tiffany was beyond amazing! We had our daughter’s 6th birthday party here. It was such a lovely time. They were able to eat and play games and it felt super nostalgic with all of the new arcade games. The best part about it was how wonderful Tiffany was. I was able to take photos and enjoy time with my daughter because she was behind the scenes helping SO much in every single way. She helped with the presents, served the ice, helped clean everything up, etc. She was there the entire time helping and assisting with everything and it was so nice. She also was quick to help store cake (and use her containers!) when we didn’t finish all of it. I would HIGHLY recommend birthday parties here! Or just stopping in for a sweet treat while downtown. Thank you so much, Tiffany! You are a complete gem. :)”
