“Babes is a great bar and reataraunt in Coal City. I stopped in on a Monday night after work to celebrate a friend's birthday and was not disappointed. Walking in the front door, the bar is open and inviting. There are gambling machines and a shuffle board table there to pass the time. I sat at the bar and was warmly greeted by Bri. I ordered a beer and a couple appetizers to start. The kitchen is in the front of the house so you can see your food prepared. The jalapeño poppers were a standard deep fried jalapeño with cream cheese, fried to a perfect brown crust on the outside and a creamy spicy inside. The cheese curds are an above average variety. The batter is salty and crunchy which pairs perfectly with the melted gooey cheese on the inside. Next up was the burger. I ordered a hamburger and fries which was recommended by everyone in the place. It did not disappoint. Grilled to order and seasoned with the confidence of an experienced cook. If you are in the area and want a great meal at a great place, stop in and check them out. I know I will be back when I'm in town.”

We brought our son of 8 months he was accommodated. The cheese sticks stuck out to man hot damn they were good extra marinara sauce required because the sauce is just a good!! Knock your socks off sauce I called it. The pizza was great not sag or flop on the crust I love it that way. Very reasonable pricing! Great parking”

“My wife and I love this place. This is a small family run restaurant best suited for carry out. The service is fast and the food always fresh and hot. To me, the General Tso's and Orange chicken is as good, if not better, as other big name Chinese restaurants I've tried. The Crab Rangoons are awesome.
One suggestion would be to add a small cup the red sweet and sour sauce for the Crab Rangoons and egg rolls (I keep forgetting to request it...lol).”

Wood gets drier and lighter as it ages. The door handles reminded me of the late Nineteenth Century, just a touch hand made.I wondered, "Should I buy a bar stool buddy a shot to say thanks for a clean restroom?" I walked over to the bar. I spotted a freezer stocked with six dollar frozen pizzas. Not one vegan pizza I felt sure. Hunger had arrived. A set of coolers showed off all the cans for sale. "Might I buy a Coke?" The woman bartending probably owned the bar. "Sure, that will be a dollar". Thank you I said as I gave her two dollars. "It's only a dollar, hon."
