I don't generally leave reviews, but I recently stopped in on the restaurant side of Gippers and had a great experience. Sadly in 2022 a great experience can't be said for all restaurants, so having this positive experience is worth the mention. In this case, it was good food, good service and a good time. If you are in the area, Gippers is worth stopping at.As long as I am dropping the above review on the restaurant, I want to mention that my family has used their banquet room for small (15~20) gatherings when family comes together from out of town. The banquet room more than met our needs in giving us a more private setting and dedicated wait staff, which is something we couldn't really find anywhere else in the Wilmington area. The banquet room could easily have accommodated more, and directly leads to a large outdoor patio area which worked well for the smokers we have in the group (they just take their drink to the patio and do their thing). We have used the banquet room maybe five times, and each experience met or exceeded our expectations. When you have family coming in from all over the place that you only see every so often, making the most of the little time you get with them is important, and having a positive social/dining experience, pardon the idiom, just leaves a good taste in everyone's mouth. If you are in the area and need a tasteful banquet room type facility, I would recommend them.

Stopped in here about 4:00pm on Sunday. There were 4 employees behind the bar and a half dozen patrons playing slots machines and getting ready to leave. Nice lady sitting beside me has her order brought out and taken back because it's wrong. The menu and prices look good, so I order a medium (pink and juicy) burger and my wife gets a slab of ribs. My burger is dry and charred to a crisp. Ribs are dry and charred. Meanwhile the employees come and go, check their phones and talk behind the bar. There was not one thing during this visit that have me return.

First time there and just loved the place!!!! Good people and wonderful atmosphere. Really loved the outdoor part of the bar especially since I am a smoker. Sorry most people don't like that. So would love to have that set up in my backyard!!!! Great service and definitely will be going back again! Went to go hang out with friends and WOW the place was way above what I expected!. The owner was there, which I find rare, and really paid attention to the little things and such a nice person ?

I ordered the Hangover Burger, Maryland Crab cakes and Greek potatoes. The food was delicious! I really enjoyed the the burger. I can definitely recommend ordering on Door Dash even though the wait was over an hour.

Fries undercooked. Burrito no taste. Million of flies, inside. Many orders were wrong. Coleslaw was the worst I ever had (warm). Bugs on the walls, going to the bathroom.

I came with a group after a funeral which they were aware of how many would be attending. The service was slow as if they weren’t prepared for our large group but that doesn’t take away how amazing the food was!! It was amazing and talk about large portions! You get your money worth for meals that’s for sure! Drinks were amazing too! They don’t skimp on the booze and measure out their shots unlike other places. I’ll definitely return when I’m in that area!

Got the ceasar chicken wrap and fries. Wrap was mostly wrap and lettuce with bland chicken. Fries were cold and soggy. Guy at the bar was raving about his chicken wings. Quite a few guys in there drunk for noon. It was a different vibe for a visitor in the middle of nowhere.
Good place to social. Lots of space lots to do there. Katie abandoned Vanessa were really smiling bartenders. Gave you that happy to help feeling and you weren't just another face in the crowd.

We stopped for breakfast and came back for supper. I had the salmon BLT. And husband had a burger. Huge piece of salmon and the burger had 2 big ground beef patty with garlic Parmesan fries and Greek potatoes. Very good. We will definitely be back. Great service. Family friendly, plenty of room and clean. We recommend Gippers. Thank you Nick, see you soon
