“Saw A Site Beyond, Strange News, and Little Evil play here and the venue was PERFECT! Nancy ran bar...and has for 42 years. The tiny place was perfect for an in-your-face intimate show.
Will be coming here for shows in the future, despite the one hour drive for me to get there. The rest of the town is pretty relaxed and chill. Lots of really cool people.”

“Just when I thought there wasn’t anything new left to try in Macomb, we decided to give Z’s Restaurant a try — and wow. The photos truly do not do the food justice. You can taste the care immediately. The potatoes are not frozen — they’re fresh, par-boiled, then cooked to absolute perfection. The green peppers are fresh. The corned beef is flavorful, tender, and not overly salty (which is harder to find than you’d think). Every bite felt thoughtful and well made. We also added biscuits and gravy just to “try them”… and didn’t even come close to finishing because the portions are generous — but those homemade biscuits were warm, soft, and delicious, and the gravy had big, hearty chunks of sausage. Comfort food done right. The service deserves a special mention too — warm, genuine, and truly delightful. You feel welcomed, not rushed. Yes, it costs a little more than some breakfast spots, but it’s absolutely worth it. Quality ingredients, care in the cooking, and a great experience all around. We’ll definitely be back — next time to try lunch (another day… we were full today 😄). If you’re looking for something familiar done exceptionally well, this place is a gem.”

“Was traveling by there and stopped for lunch. It's a bargain for all the food you get for lunch. My daughter, who is a big eater, agreed--we should have ordered only 1 lunch and shared.. Not only a $bargain, the food flavors are spot on. Will make it a regular stop in my travels”

“Place is reasonably good. On par with other restaurants in macomb. However, you need "rocky dollars", to buy food, which is basically dollars in your student card. Not sure on which days it accepts cash for general public. Better to call and verify”

“Great location! Love the old-school walk up style. Menu was clear to read. The four guys behind the counter were great! They even made a perfect Peanut Butter Bash for my wife (even checked up how to do it on their phone without any prompting). Will take my daughter here every time I visit. :)”
