Rude, lazy, off putting, ran down boats, no service, do not support troops or families, and a bust. Didn't get a chance to even get on lake that lady is crude and lacks socializing skills. Never again. I'll go to spring lake in macomb where folks are welcomed.

Every time we camp at Argyle Lake State Park, we have a meal at the Shanty Shack. We have even ordered food and taken it on our pontoon boat. From home, we have ordered the chicken for pick up. Delicious! The tenderloin sandwich is large enough for us both to share. The staff are straight forward and funny. We love them as much as we love the food.

At 11:05 am when we arrived Mrs M asked if breakfast were still available. We were told curtly breakfast was finished and everything was put away. Strict 11:00 cutoff! Then we were told if you want breakfast you should get up before noon. Mrs M ordered cheeseburger and fries and I ordered a bowl of baked beans and the server snapped at me that they weren’t ready. No breakfast, no lunch…I didn’t order. After listening to more grumbling by staff Mrs M changed her order to-go. We paid and left. As soon as we left she began to eat. First thing she noticed the fries tasted like old and fishy oil. Then the burger was wildly over salted and rancid tasting behind the salt. When the owner found out from a social media post he proceeded to berate and belittle me. I was awakened at 2:45 am to the sound of Mrs M throwing up. (something that never happens) The burger was the only thing she ate in the middle of a 36 hour period. I’m no doctor but the timing is suspect. You don’t want to waste your money here!!

We all had tenderloins and they were bigger than we expected. Food was good and hot, service was good and we hung around to visit for a bit. Had a good birthday lunch.
