I tried the Italian beef which was too spicy/hot for me. My mouth was burning!The ceasar salad was fine but nothing special. I'll try other options if i return. The dining room is very loud and it's difficult to hear a conversation. Parking in the lot is limited sometimes during lunch and older patrons might find street parking a bit far. Service was good but prices were a bit higher than I thought for lunch.

Taco Tuesday $1.29 each. 2 tacos & a bowl of soup for $6.85! Their chicken & dumplings soup was awesome. The wait team is very friendly too.

They are always loving and caring employees! The atmosphere is so chill when you walk in. The food is excellent to the taste. It just saddens me cause I’m in Saint Louis and they aren’t open on the weekends 🥲the only time I can really get over there .

The menu online sed they did fried chicken but when I got there the woman at the counter said that they had never served it the entire time the restaurant had been open. I got the chicken sandwich but the chicken was sweet and didn't taste like chicken. Like someone had used Sugar instead of salt .

My sister and cousin both worked at Berts Chuck wagon in Granite City back in the early to mid 70's. Wasn't exactly the same as then, but still pretty good. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I'm sure I'll be going back.
