some years had past from my previous bad experience and today I decided to give it another shot, unfortunately this experience wasn’t any better and mostly likely never show my face there ever again, Not only do I disapprove steak ‘n Shake vision on customer service using this latest technology, The employee that brought my food to my table had a very disgusting attitude, using this nasty facial expression. it’s a good thing you asked for gratuity before the service.
overall, this experience was so bad. I didn’t even bother eating my food.

Horrible. Didn't even get what I paid for. Plus my sandwich was soggy, and the orange cream milkshake is just vanilla basically, NO orange flavor at all. Very let down for spending $25! Paid extra for grilled and raw onions. Got NO onions at all. Tipped $5 , but all I got was an empty, hungry belly. :(

I talked to her for a bit because she was so helpful & personable that I had to tell her how she really made the experience. I was impressed with her leadership, as well as hospitality skills. The food was fine. It's Steak and Shake. They forgot 1 of our burgers. No big deal, they said they'd get it. Half hour later, still don't have it. 1 good employee working the floor asked for it and the cook started yelling that he cooked it a half hour ago. Don't have a fit dude, just get us the burger we ordered. You're not a chef with a big menu. You cook thin burgers and have a hard time with it. Kid working the floor was awesome, the burger cook thinks the place would collapse into a black hole without him.

We walked in and was greeted with a smile. At the kiosk placing our order and being unfamiliar with it was offered help. We navigated through the process. He was there to help. Our food was freshly prepared and wait wasn't to bad. Food was great. The cleanliness of this establishment was far above the last 2 Steak and Shakes We visited. We walked in and walked right out of the one 20 miles away. I let him know this. The white and black floor has to be very difficult to keep clean. But it was . I feel like if we want to eat at Steak and Shake we need to drive to Collinsville.

Our food wasn't even warm. Luckily we were staying at the hotel near this location so we just wrapped everything up in our napkins and left. The room had a microwave so we heated it up and was able to somewhat enjoy our meal. So disappointed because I loved steck and shake for years.
