The pork steak was dry even though it was smothered in sauce the potato salad had nothing but eggs in it very bland in the song was dry and hard $14 plus taxThe rest of the clan got the pulled pork specials they left a little to be desired also my grandson said the macaroni and cheese was not good and he is a macaroni and cheese connoisseur in all probably spend about 50 some odd dollars in my opinion this meal was not worth my money

Absolutely amazing food and amazing prices!! I wish we had stopped in sooner. This will be our new go to for lunch and dinner! The pulled pork was delicious and the double bacon cheeseburger was ohhhh so good! They definitely don’t skimp on anything!! Hoping we can get there early enough for brisket next time! 10 out of 10!! *chefs kiss*

I generally place large orders for carry out. Morgan does a fantastic job at organizing and making sure the orders are complete and tagged. Al does a wonderful job in the kitchen and makes lots of deliciousness! Everything we’ve had has been superb!
Always friendly service they actually get to know their customers. If you have request your food well or extra well done they will do what they can to make your meal the way you like it. This is my go to for bbq and daily specials.

Last 2 times I called they only had a couple of sides available and meat options were slim. The girl on the phone seemed bothered i called. Decided to go Carvers in Godfrey. They were nice and food was great. Highly recommend.

This is our go to place for very good food. This is a small family owned restaurant that did it right. Started with the basics and moved forward with great food and service at a reasonable price as the first priority. Wether your passing through or live near by pork barrel is a must try for bbq done right! With other options on the menu.
Yesterday was my son’s 8th Birthday and he wanted ribs. I heard about this place from a friend so we decided to try it. Boy, am I glad my son wanted ribs and that we tried this place out. We got pulled pork, pork steaks, and ribs with sides. Everything was excellent, reasonably priced, and this will be our new favorite place to get BBQ from.

A true hole-in-the-wall place with the meat being cooked on a small, backyard sized grill/smoker. Sadly, this means that things like burnt ends or brisket are often not available. However, the meats are to die for.PROS:Ambiance - I appreciate the mom-and-pop, hole-in-the-wall atmoshereMeat - awesome! Good flavor, falling apart tenderPrice - I had the sampler, good value for the money, everything is priced reasonably, best pulled pork sandwhich I have ever hadCONS:Ambiance - don't plan on eating there, they only have a couple of small folding tables outside next to the grill, as in, reach out and touch the grillMeat - disappointing how quick they run out of thingsSauce - I had the sampler and the sauce overwhelmed the meat on the pork steak and ribs. Would have been better with half the sauce with the sauce having had a chance to carmelize on the grill a little bit; also, seemed a bit too much like spicy ketchup than bbq sauce but nice afterburn without being too strong.Overall, I recommend calling ahead to place your order, to make sure they have what you want.Also, INVESTOR NEEDED! With just a little capital invested in infrastructure: bigger smoker, space for indoor tables, and maybe a couple more employees (a kitchen assistant and a server) and this place would be rockin'!
Food was ok.. not worth the price.. my son normally devours burgers.. took two bites and said he was good.. he actually went to get his fig nutons out of the kitchen lol..he was supposed to get potato salad and didnt.. I'm guessing the woman who took our order didn't have time to make it while the Walmart fries cooked in the fryer and they reheated the ribs and brisket from the fridge.. do better ppl.. just sad ?
