Ordered 2 large turkey hoagies to go and by the time I got home the bread was falling apart. Without a doubt the bread was old. I would rather wait at the original home of the hoagy an hour than ever go back to this spot again.

The food was great on the first day o went for me and my husband. Everything was well put together double wrapped and everything. I believe the owner was there Greg and was awesome with the service getting customers in and out 5-13-26 I believe. Went 5-15-26 because the Sandwich was great the first time, mind u this was our first experience there. Anyways the second experience was horrible. Emni whatever her name is was rude as Heck, had a customer who was ordering for catering reasons and literally waited almost 7-10 min before finishing the catering order for pick up I believe the next day. Instead of her placing the person on the phone on hold to get the two customers in and out , at least take the orders and return or resume to the person on the phone who was placing a big order. All I know is the Steak sandwich was thrown together, the aluminum foil was poorly wrapped once instead of double and literally tore up. It was said o should ask for sandwiches to be double wrapped. How do I know that if it was my very first time experiencing FITCHY’S. O don’t believe we will be going back for a while. Driving allllllllll the way from the city of Chicago downtown. Very disappointed

I just want to say that famous quote “Don’t Believe everything you hear.” I seen a couple reviews saying that they not like other competing places but I had this sweet turkey steak and it’s good as hell! It definitely is worth the money & the fresh fries I finished before I opened the sandwich. Food taste just as good if not better than any competitors & I will be coming back. I’ve been looking for a turkey steak sandwich for over four years in Chicago & finally found one worth the wait! Oh it was delivered as well and it was still fresh.

I rarely leave reviews but this place is all around the best. A large and ACTUAL hoagie and a mild fry for 14 dollars in 2026?! And the large hoagie is actually large and the mild fry is like five guys fries with delicious mild sauce. Customer service was also excellent (in 2026?) and they were quick. You can’t beat this imo

I was in the area and read The Home of the Hogy! This caught my eye and had to stop in and taste their hogy. Mind you I grew up on the Original Home of the Hogy in the Morgan Park area. Well I did not like their hogy sandwich and that’s all i’ll say about that. No comparison with the original Home of the Hogy. I’ll drive far South just to get the Original 💕

I ordered the ​steak sandwich, large turkey hoagy, and a bag of chips for delivery. My chips were missing from my order. The steak sandwich lacked seasoning, and sauce. it was pretty dry for a saucy type of sandwich, and only had one tomato. The turkey hoagy was very flavorful, and made to my specifications; however the bread didn’t seem fresh and was somewhat hard, and it was lacking meat for the size of the this sandwich and the thickness of the bread. Overall, not bad, but better quality control, and consistency is needed. I would give this location another chance, on a pick up order next time.

This is my second time ordering extra meat and oil. I drove all the way from Indiana to be disappointed never again!!! I’d rather drive to the city and wait in a long, then pay for something and not receive it!! So beware check your orders before leaving!!! Because other then that your giving your money away!!!!

The hoagies are mid. If you grew up on Taurus hoagies, you will be underwhelmed. The sweet sauce on the fries is good. Overall not bad, but again just mid.
