Max grill jerk and bbq

I used to go here often when I lived in the area. They really grill this chicken perfect and the sides are delicious. Stopped by today and they did not disappoint!

Why is Jamaican rice and peas served with pinto beans and just white rice. No thyme, no allspice. Ungodly fatty oxtails. Jerk chicken was just grilled basic chicken. The snapper was decent.

I've had the food a few times and I must admit I was satisfied with my order and the portion.

Im leaving a 1 star 🌟 review because I'm highly disappointed because for a WHOLE MONTH, everytime I try and get the wing special, there has always been an excuse as in why I can't get it!

I've tried on several days that its offered and still have not gotten them.

I dont live in the area and its highly disappointing to try and get something thats listed and I can never retrieve! Usually I call and most of the time I do not get an answer! To take a drive for no reason is disappointing and I will not try anymore!

The food here is absolutely delicious I live in Calumet City can I drive all the way country club hills just for the food at this man Cooks it is delicious my first time visiting I asked who taught him how to cook this well he said his mother if you have to travel it is worth it

THIEVES. DO NOT PURCHASE HERE. I ordered 4 dinners from here. Got the order home and the young man gave whatever he wanted to give. I called back up there and he disclosed that’s all he had left. So I told him I was going to bring the food back and get a refund. When attempted to give the food back he became very agressive cursing and yelling at me. I told I just wanted a refund because he should have told me that he was out of certain items. He finally gave me a refund. Then a few days later I check with my bank that he reserved the refund. So he stole my money. Please be aware

I was highly disappointed. I saw it had 4.4 outbof 5 stars so I say well let's try it since we haven't no jerk chicken in forever. Absolutely a waste of time and money. We had the whole jerk chicken X two. Jamaican mac n cheese with cabbage. The jerk chicken was dry, overcooked and burnt. Couldn't eat half of it. So i just said lets wrap it up and toss it. Im not going to complain or send it back. He knows it was burnt, overcooked and dried when he packed it and served it. So apparently he doesn't care and neither do I. Don't waste your money. Please go somewhere else!!!
