My favorite place to get Chinese food! Always fresh and delicious.

Last night we were celebrating my son's birthday. He had a taste for Chinese food so we ordered from China House near where we live. We ordered over the phone and had a pickup time for 20 minutes. We picked up the food and it seemed hot and we were all excited and hungry. When we opened the Chicken Hong Su both of my kids said "what is that smell?" We all smelled burnt plastic. I tasted the sauce and immediately decided We should not eat this food. I put it in the garbage. Then we opened our crab Rangoon and it had a strange spice/taste. Very disappointed thus far. Chicken Fried rice was just ok. Rather dry but better than the first two items. The Chicken with the sweet and sour was chewy and the oil tasted old and everyone was disappointed. My children said "Mom this was terrible food. You should call and let the place know". So I did. The woman who answered the phone sounded defensive and said "I have nothing to do with the food. I'll get the owner". I said " thanks". and the owner got on the phone. He was very irritated with my displeasure and said "bring all of the food back and I'll refund your money". I said "ok thank you! I just thought you would want the feedback". When I arrived to get my refund the owner stormed out from the back of house and demanded I look at his oil and his clean kitchen. I said that was not necessary and he started raging about his reputation and the fact that he had a business for 31 years. I told him I was sorry he was so angry and that I was trying to be kind and told him that we were celebrating a birthday and the dinner was terrible. He was unkind and very unprofessional in every way and I felt alarmed at the way he acted toward me. When I left and pulled out of the parking lot he made a direct effort to open the door with the food he was throwing away and walked to the dumpster and made sure I was watching! It was weird and I will never go back! I wasn't ever trying to be smudge his reputation but he took it way too far! I would NOT recommend this establishment! NOT GOOD!

I came here before the food was delicious this time when I came, it was not the same. I asked for Hunan beef and it usually comes with a lot of juice, but it was very dry. They put vegetables in it that I didn't want and the lady was kind of a jerk, and when I wanted extra sauce, they wanted to charge me for it when they didn't even put any sauce in it from the beginning I really do not recommend this restaurant and unless you're cooking it yourself

Usually we love this place But we ordered mushroom king and it was literally half way filled for a large so I . Called back just to let him know but he tried to argue with me that that’s how they sell it but this is not my 1 time going there all the other times is all the way filled so why say large and sell it as small but they lost a good customer ?so there loss not mine ?they gat good Chinese food but stingy after a while ?

The *only * Chinese restaurant we go to. David & his family are kind & make the best, most consistent Chinese anywhere! It takes some of us 30-40 minutes each way to get to China House in Crest Hill now & we make the drive. We have vegetarians in our family that love it too.
The place smells like smoke. I ordered $40 worth of food, I didn’t like any of it. The orange chicken was the worst orange chicken I’ve had. I would recommend a different Chinese place. Don’t waste your money!
