“The perfect vibe my wife and I love, every plate we had was very good and authentic, close to my abuelita’s cooking. Every waitress was attentively checking on us even though we had a waitress from the beginning. We will definitely be back I would give more then 5 stars if ”
“These are by far the best tacos and quesadillas!!! I met Marissa during the Alzheimer's event and stopped by recently on the weekend to the food truck. Service is always superb and fast! It was late at night and she walked the order to the car so I didn't have to take the kids back out. She blew me away with impeccable service and genuine kindness. I will be back and spreading the word Love! God Bless You Through & Through and Declaring more food trucks across the nation ????????????????”
“Merichka's is one of those places locals have a special place in their heart for; they grew up with it and love it. The atmosphere is 50's kitch. There are several dining rooms and a circa 1940s bar. Other patrons heard we were new to the restaurant and told us we had to get the Poorboy "...it's what Merichka's is known for." It turns out their Poorboy Steak is ground beef plank (a long rectangular patty) on garlic bread served with pickles and lettuce for $14. We also got their Icelandic Cod sandwich (we chose baked over fried) for $15. We also had the Combo Appetizer- onion ring and fried mushrooms for $13. Both sandwiches are available on a plate (choice of potato or steamed vegetables and a salad) for $23 and $26, respectively. That is $10 for a vegetable and salad, if found that high. Dinners are also available for an additional $4 to the plate price (dinners add a relish tray). I decided to get the sandwich a la carte, so maybe it's a lot of food. The Icelandic Cod was prepared perfectly. Fish can be rubbery if overcooked, but this was tender and delicate. I was disappointed the bun was straight out of the bag, not toasted or grilled. The Poorboy was an unseasoned ground beef on garlic bread; it is definitely a skip for me next time. Their menu is extensive with chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, ribeye steak sandwich, and pork chop sandwich. Full meals include lobster, salmon, and steaks.Parking: There has to be over 75 parking spaces on the adjacent and neighboring lots.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids menu with grilled cheese, chicken tenders, cheese burger, etc... it includes french fries and a beverage.Wheelchair accessibility: There are lots of stairs as soon as you walk in and stairs between rooms. I saw a ramp on the other end of the restaurant. You would go through the bar to get to a hostess stand (there are literally 3) and then be limited to the green room. There are stairs to the red rooms, and the bar only has high barstool tables.”
“This is the ONLY Japanese place we eat in town. They have the best sushi in town. They make every single one by hand right there for you, and they are delicious. Spicy tuna, cucumber, and crab and the California roll are our favorites. We definitely recommend it!”

“We were in town visiting my mom and wanted a place to play pool. Didn't know what to expect when we pulled into the parking lot. So glad we went it. It was clean, great food, bartender super friendly.Great place to unwind, eat and play some pool and darts.”
“Authentic and delicious food!!! Maria attended to us. Friendly and helpful employee. We ordered birria and a large burrito!! Everything delicious!! Thanks for the service!!!”
“That's always, this is my favorite bar in the Joliet area. They home make their pizzas and have sliders available. During St Patrick's Day time they also make really, really good corned beef. The alcohol prices are good and the staff is really nice. Mary is my favorite! And if it means anything to you, it is a woman owned and operated business!”
“Ordered a big tray of wings and fries and some jumbo shrimp. Took longer the 15 minutes they said it would take, but worth it!! The food was all deep fried but not greasy. Definitely coming back here for more. Only 2 employees I saw working the counter and the deep fryers but they did a good job. The girl working the counter was really friendly and the food was worth the long wait.”
“The breakfast was excellent, what we ordered was delicious, everyone's attitude is excellent, and more than everything they prepare is fresh, you can taste it. Thank you..”
“Fit Foundation catered an employee luncheon for us recently — and IT WAS FABULOUS! They created a delicious luncheon menu with a great presentation and friendly service. Angela is amazing to work with. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!”
“Fresh bread, fresh everything, very pleasant staff. Somewhat busy but very efficient. Typical Subway store decore, everything clean. Never disappointed when I stop in here occasionally.”
“We came here on a Sunday night and ordered la Parrillada for 2 people and added the shrimp. Lots of food and it was very good. El Señor was very nice and we ate until full and still had food left over. Thank you !”
