The staff made us feel very welcome and taken care of the entire night. They added little cute touches like our picture on the menu that made it feel special and their new space is really modern and perfect for events. We highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions or just a nice dinner out. We have been coming here with our family the last few years and it is an amazing gem in Joliet.”

My husband had the NY Strip Steak and said it was the best steak he has ever eaten. “I visited Rax on 07/05/2026 for the first time. I was very excited to try this place as I heard Rax used to be popular in the 90s and this is the only one in Illinois! As I was walking in I loved all the plants it felt very welcoming on the outside. The inside was a 90s look I loved it! The lady at the counter was very nice and the day I went it was empty inside sadly (Sunday Afternoon). But i took my food and headed over to the sunroom it was a warm day out and the sunroom stayed cool as there was hanging plants inside, it was beautiful! Everything here was super nostalgic and I hope it does not change! I got a beef n cheddar with curly fries. Honestly the beef was delicious and similar to Arby's minus the Arby sauce. I will totally be back. After I left I did some research I had no idea this was the 5th location Rax opened during there peak times. Thank you to the owner Terry, I hope your restaurant stays busy and please keep the 90s fast food aesthetics up!!”

Apparently there are different levels of meat quality. This location serves up a plentiful plate of food. Enjoy it at this Joliet location or their other store at 2300 N Lincoln Ave in Chicago. From the moment my sister and I walked in, Julius at the counter treated us with exceptional kindness and respect. He deserves a raise! He asked for my name when I ordered and continued to address me by name throughout my entire visit, which made the experience feel so personal and welcoming.

I usually visit the Shorewood location, but I’ll definitely be coming back to the Joliet Culver’s just to see Julius again. Outstanding customer service like his is hard to find!

“This place has been around forever. We quit going years ago because it was consistently poor quality, food, less than friendly customer service, and generally kind of dirty. My youngest loves to go with his grandpa and has been begging us to take him to our local establishment on route 30. gave it a chance a few weeks ago, and we have been back twice since then. The employees are friendly and seem to care about the quality of the food They serve to the customers. I know a lot of people are frustrated by the kiosks, but they’re pretty easy to use. They seem to free up the employees Time to focus on the quality of the food and maintaining the dining area. They have a good crew in there. Keep up the good work!”

“I placed an order for a jumbo cheese dog and fries and had to wait in the drive thru line over 30 minutes. They said they had a system issue but after reading the reviews I doubt that's the case. I got in line at 6:59 and placed my order it's now 7:33 and I just got the bag. I can't move anywhere because nobody else has their food so I have to sit here and wait. This is absolutely ridiculous. I ordered a jumbo cheese dog with tomato and pickle only and a large fry. I open the bag there's a cup in there with a tomato and pickle in it and a cup of cheese missing my hot dog and my fries. It's now 7:37 and I'm still waiting and my order is incorrect. Who just orders a cup of cheese and a pickle and a tomato. I left there at 8:03 finally with my hot dog and fries”

“I've only been there twice since the new location opened, but it's a killer vibe inside. The games are fun, the tables seem to be doing great and the drinks are solid. I'm a sucker for a great old fashioned, and they make a solid one at &vine. Overall it's a great time and a solid modernization over the old one, although the sports bar in the old one always did good by me. Go give it a shot.”

“VERY good food was my first time going in and was quite very hesitant on what to eat but luckily the waitress that was serving me recommended a machete de chorizo con una agua de horchata amazing food, the waitress who was attending me was very attentive and the atmosphere was very nice too bathroom was one of the cleanest bathrooms i’ve ever been in, very much recommend this place and so worth it.”

“We arrived around midnight on a Saturday. There was no line. We were greeted immediately with a smile. The food was ready in less than 15 min. The tacos and quesadillas were LOADED and delicious! There salsa verde is flavorful and fresh. The rice and beans were cooked to perfection. We will definitely be returning! This is my new favorite late night bite. WAY better than Taco Bell!!”
