“We had a funeral luncheon today, perfect location for the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery- the set up/family style food they have specifically for this type of event is great- private area, pleanty of food, good food. But what made me come on to leave a review was the great waitress we had. She went above and beyond, finding out my daughter couldn't eat much because her wisdom teeth had been pulled last week, and got her pleanty of mashed potatoes, and she was able to take some to go too. I know it doesn't sound like much, but when your 13, you haven't been able to eat much for the past week, have to go to all day funeral services, and then a lunch where your not sure what you will be able to eat, her kindness was very much appreciated! Thank you!”

“Bartender Kerri is the best shes got a great personality very friendly. She should be the full time bartender there, she comes up with the best drinks. Known her for a long time she love what she does always has a smile on her face. She said she’s only there on Sunday’s? Why I’d like to come to this bar more and she needs more days or evenings. “This is truly a hidden gem in downtown Joliet. Food was absolutely delicious. We tried the pollo anticuchero, the lomo saltado and the papa a la huancaina and it was all very tasty. I had the parchita for a drink and it was also very good. We will definitely be back.”

“I had a bad experience my first time going after they opened but I gave it another try tonight and I was so impressed with the waitress, I asked her name she said Stephanie and she said she is fairly new, well hopefully you get alot more servers like her she was perfect and so extremely friendly, we will ask to be seated at her tables next time for sure! My first experience the waitress didn't even smile ,I had to ask numerous times for obvious items it was rediculous but definitely going back now also she wasn't just standing around like the last time I went 3 waitresses just chatting and actually had to ask for one of them to take our order after 15 minutes so tonight I give 5 stars last time I gave 1 star”

“Stayed at Harrah’s Casino in Joliet & food at the grill was terrible. Found The Old Fashioned Pancake House Restaurant on Jefferson St in Joliet the next morning and it was amazing. Service was quick, attentive and continuous. Food (breakfast) was simply outstanding and price was very good! I have traveled a lot and this place is a Five Star value in my book.”

“I’ve ordered takeout and dine in here recently. It was amazing! Food came out hot. The biscuits and gravy, and build your own omelette was so good. Big portion of hashbrowns and good sized omelette! Smash burger and poor boy were also a 10/10. I loved how the bathrooms had complete privacy. They have rubber stoppers that completely block that annoying gap between the door in public restrooms where you can see through! Service was great! Larissa was so kind and patient when dealing with a customer in our section who was not having a great experience! Love the artwork on the walls! Definitely will be coming back soon!”
