Kinda Cozy, with Great Food”

“Food was better than expected. I passed by this spot so many times and good that I stopped by this time. I got tamales , lengua and steak tacos also a burrito. Tastes exactly like the food from a regular taco truck . I will be stopping by again if I’m around.”

“This is truly a hidden gem in downtown Joliet. Food was absolutely delicious. We tried the pollo anticuchero, the lomo saltado and the papa a la huancaina and it was all very tasty. I had the parchita for a drink and it was also very good. We will definitely be back.”

“Stayed at Harrah’s Casino in Joliet & food at the grill was terrible. Found The Old Fashioned Pancake House Restaurant on Jefferson St in Joliet the next morning and it was amazing. Service was quick, attentive and continuous. Food (breakfast) was simply outstanding and price was very good! I have traveled a lot and this place is a Five Star value in my book.”

“We’ve lived in the area for over 8 years and finally stopped here for dinner. The food was delicious - huge portions, the specials include soup and salad and the amazing service from Paulette was absolutely wonderful. I had the ribs - yummy and they fall off the bone. My husband had the chicken Alfredo. He loved it and the portion was huge! Great bang for the buck too. Beer and wine only but that’s all we needed.”

“For anyone who may have been misinformed. Whistle Stop Cafe in DIAMOND, IL is not closed. It is still thriving and still has great food at even better prices. Yes, there is another restaurant in Canada that closed. Same name, different owners (different family entirely).”

“We can no longer throw a party without Fleckensteins sugar cookies lol they're SO cute and taste SO good. I typically order between 50 and 70 individually wrapped cookies along with a cake. The staff are always helpful and personable, and the decorators are so incredibly talented! Last year my daughter's 1st birthday was rubber duck themed and this year we did Sesame Street/Elmo :)”
