Eating here brought back memories from when I was a kid. Roast beef was good!!
My go to for a good baked potato
I visited Rax on 07/05/2026 for the first time. I was very excited to try this place as I heard Rax used to be popular in the 90s and this is the only one in Illinois! Rax offers hot, fresh, and tasty food, including their famous roast beef sandwiches and salad bar. The roast beef sandwiches are always steaming hot on a fresh bun, and the curly fries are just as good. Customers particularly enjoy the Beef Bacon Cheddar and curly fries, and many appreciate the fresh, perfect-tasting food. The decor has a throwback feel, adding to its charm. The friendly and organized staff work well together to handle large orders, and the lady in the drive-up provides sweet service, wishing customers a blessed day. Despite being an older establishment, the restaurant is very clean and features a simple menu with reasonable prices, making it a great spot for fast food. The store’s ambiance and staff are friendly, and the place is known for its fresh food and quality. Parking is available on both sides of the building, with wheelchair accessible doors on either side. Overall, Rax is a good alternative to fast food for those in the area.
