“This place is a very convenient because they do have a drive-thru which is nice. I tried the #1 combo, which is the Gyro plate, which comes with fries and a drink. The Gyro was OK. It tastes a little bit different than a traditional Gyro. They give you a lot of meat and the fries were crispy and seasoned to perfection. My Dr Pepper tasted like an off brand though. This combo was around $10 My fiancé had the chicken philly combo and the sandwich was a little small. He said it tasted good and he enjoyed his food. His combo was around $10 as well. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area and try one of their weezee burgers next time. Service was fast and friendly.“
“The first time I’ve ever been to this restaurant. It was quite honestly the best gyro I have ever had. A total unexpected gem in Joliet. I had the gyro platter 2; the portions are amazing, the meat is superbly done & very high quality, the seasoning is perfect without being overdone. And the Taziki sauce was just crazy good. I would buy it by the gallon. The staff at Johnnys was super nice and the amount of work they put into this food absolutely pays off. I will most certainly be coming here anytime I think of a gyro.“
“The cooks behind the counter are absolutely awesome. If you are a regular they remember your usual as you walk in the door. The beef tacos are excellent well honestly everything is excellent. I can honestly say I've never had a bad experience. The people at the register are always nice and friendly, they like to joke around and it's always welcome. The place is always clean, this is mainly a to go place but you can dine in for a quick bite. Definitely worth the trip.“
“My Emplyee loves this place and always gets the Steak Tacos. I went today and had the Chicago Dog special as well as ordered a small chili. Not a “bean” guy on chili but…. Was great!!! I’m no chef but the ingredients tasted fresh and was great. Will order again (even with beans). Staff is great and let my dog inside (was out walking him when I stopped by). Loved it.And yes…. “Doggie Diner, Your 2 hot dog, fries and drink special is an excellent deal. The hot dogs and fries were excellent and well worth the ride. My wife had the gyros with fries it was outstanding too. There is more to the menu than dogs and gyros and we look forward to sampling from their variety of items. I'd recommend using your GPS to find the Doggie Diner, because it's easy to miss.“

“The food was absolutely delicious. Last minute lucky find. Highly recommend the Falafel Bowl and the fresh mint lemonade. Phoenician fries. My husband said it was the best Gyro. We rate this place 10 out of 10. Service was so friendly. Cute inside dining. Very large portions!! Delish!!“
